Abstract

This thesis deals with landscape design study of town square in Strážnice called Náměstí Svobody. Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with concept of public space, its historical development, examples of revitalized town squares in Czech Republic and also broader relations of given sites, its development and history. Practical part deals with specific location by using comprehensive and operational analysis and also analyzing its historical development and broad relations. It also contains vegetation inventory and photographs of the site. Based on obtained results, a draft of new town square has been made.
