This bachelor thesis is aimed at the analysis and the description of Smart Grids within the field of power engeneering. It deals with Smart Grids´ general requirements and their practical application. Furthermore, it discusses Smart Grids´ security measures, and describes its components. It also draws up intelligent household, selects and theoretically applies components to pre-selected object. The bachelor thesis further encompasses a network simulation whose graphs show channel transmissivity among concentrators while data are simulated
