High-speed Steam Turbine

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a high-speed steam turbine at given parameters provided by G-Team a.s. in Velka Bíteš. The introductory part briefly focuses on historical development of steam turbines, their operational principle and process of energy transformation. In the main part the machinery analysis of high-speed turbines has been carried out. In addition, a preliminary design of the number of turbine stages has been done. Furthermore, a thermodynamic calculation of flow channel for given input and output paramaters has been done together with the conception of construction design and turbogenerator layout. The final part introduces technical comparison of a one-stage and multy-stage high-speed steam turbine
