Actual trends in manufacture of ceramic shell moulds

Abstract

This thesis deals with the current trends in the production of ceramic shell moulds. The first part describes the history of investment casting, their use and an overview of world production. In the following parts is out of print the production process of ceramic shell mould using contemporary materials and technologies. The final section describes the defects associated with the production of ceramic shell moulds. The aim of this work is to create a literature search focused on raw materials and processes used to create a ceramic shell mould for investment casting technology
