Uma proposta de funcionalidades para sistemas de informação dedicados à logística reversa

Abstract

The stimulus to consume and the shortened life cycle of products result in early disposal of large volumes of refuse. Reverse logistics is the activity that deals with its management. Information Systems (IS) designed to support the direct logistics activities do not meet the specifics of reverse logistics in some stages of the process. Thus, this study aims to present the operational flow of reverse logistics and describe a set of IS features developed for it. The study is based on a survey which evaluated the adequacy of IS features used in direct logistics applied to reverse logistics. Taking into account aspects found through a literature review, we propose a set of features to meet the demands of reverse logistics at all stages of this activity. We concluded that there is scarcity or absence of specific solutions to meet the entire return process through a single, integrated system
