Abstract

Escribir, hablar, comentar o polemizar sobre Roberto Segre, la persona o su obra, es una tarea nada fácil pero si importante para entender la construcción del pensamiento acerca de la cultura material latinoamericana; de esa manera conceptual sintetizaba generalmente un fenómeno tan complejo cuando se refería a la arquitectura y las ciudades, de un continente abigarrado y multicultural, de distinción e identidad particular. Sin embargo, su amplia cultura y capacidad que rayaba en la erudición, le permitió introducirse en el arte y los problemas sociales del continente.Escriure, parlar, comentar o polemitzar sobre Roberto Segre, la persona o la seva obra, és una feina poc fàcil però sí important per entendre la construcció del pensament respecte la cultura material llatinoamericana; d’aquesta manera conceptual sintetitzava generalment un fenomen tant complex quan es referia a l’arquitectura i a les ciutats, d’un continent bigarrat i multicultural, de distinció i identitat particular. No obstant, la seva àmplia cultura i capacitat que ratllava l’erudició, li va permetre introduir-se en l’art i els problemes socials del continent.Write, speak, discuss or argue about Roberto Segre, the person or his work is not an easy but an important task to understand the construction of thought about Latin American material culture. In this conceptual manner he synthesized such a complex phenomenon when referring to architecture and cities, a colorful and multicultural continent, with distinction and a particular identity.
