THE BIOTECHNOLOGICAL BASES OF EXTENSION OF THE GENETIC VARIETY OF THE POTATO

Abstract

The object of investigation: the species of kin Solanum, resistant to the different diseases of the plants. The effective systems of regeneration of shoots and the multiplication of the plants in the culture of the tissue, the methods of insulation and cultivation of the protoplasts, the methods of transformation with use of the agrobacterial systems, the new original approaches to solving the problems of the potato plants stability increase to the pathogenes on the base of the microorganisms pectinases, the express-method for screening of the regenerants of the potato, to be resistant to the pectinases and pathogenes, have been developed. Using the indicated method, a large number of the potato forms with the new properties, including those, resistant to the pathogenes, has been obtained, which has widened the genetic variety of this culture. The offered approaches of the genetic transformation give the possibility to construct the new forms of the potato with the different useful genes. The experimentally created marked genotypes have been connected into the collection, which can be used in the fundamental investigations in the different fields of the biology of the potato, and in the applied investigations.Available from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
