Spatio-temporal Variations of Dissolved Organic Matter in a German Forested Mountainous Headwater Catchment

Abstract

Our spatio-temporal explicit 4-yr data set, covering both tributaries and main stream water information, was critical in apportionment of contributing surficial and groundwater sources. It helped elucidate subtle differences in dissolved organic matter, pH, and Fe dynamics in sub- and whole-catchment streams and determine that the influence of extreme dry weather on stream water catchment chemistry was minimal
