PEMBELAJARAN FOTOGRAFI DI KOMUNITAS PENGGEMAR FOTOGRAFI SURAKARTA / KPFS

Abstract

Angga Radhitya. A STUDY OF PHOTOGRAPHY LEARNING ON KOMUNITAS PENGGEMAR FOTOGRAFI SURAKARTA / KPFS. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. September 2015. The objective of research is to find out: (1) the process of photography learning in KPFS, (2) the process of photography creating in KPFS, and (3) the photowork results in KPFS. This research directed to descriptive qualitative approach, in order to have descriptive data that are written words or oral from a person or an event that is being observed at the field. The data source derived directly from representative corresponding respondents, Eddy Assa and Bon Hidayat as the administrator of KPFS, observation on the related event and research location, and through relevant document and archive. The sample of research was taken using Purposive Sampling. The process of collecting data used were observation, interview, literature study, along with document and archive analisys. The data validation was done using source triangulation and informant review. The data analysis was processed into three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing/verification. The research procedure encompassed pre-field, field observation, data analysis, and report composing stage. From the result of research, it could be concluded that: (1) the process of photography learning in KPFS use learning by doing method. Besides, KPFS also apply e-learning method and knowledge sharing by social media, facebook. Other learning systems in KPFS are by join a photography contest and workshop, (2) the process of photography creating in KPFS started by discussion to determine the big theme, then it divided into derived theme and decide the technique that will be used. After that, the photography creation will begin. In addition, the member of KPFS also often hold a photo hunting together. Beside those methods, the creating process also take place on monthly photo competition that frequently held in Solo city, (3) the photowork results in KPFS are quite various from photograph with line theme, balance theme, DOF (Depth Of Field) theme, still life theme, framing theme, negative space theme, reflection theme, ROL (Ray Of Light) theme, to splash theme photograph.
