CONTROLE E CIDADANIA: CONTROVÉRSIAS NA IMPLANTAÇÃO DO REGISTRO DE IDENTIDADE CIVIL (RIC) NO BRASIL

Abstract

This paper analyzes the ambivalences in surrounding of the New Civil Identity Register (RIC) in Brazil based on the prerogatives of guaranteeing national security, as well as the full exercise of citizenship. We are interested in understanding how are the multifaceted use of this device by the Federal Government. The light of the literature of social studies of science and technology, we intend to understand to what extent the narrative of guarantee of citizenship through the RIC builds an opacity before its potential for control.O presente trabalho analisa as ambivalências em torno do Registro de Identidade Civil (RIC) no Brasil a partir das prerrogativas de garantia da segurança nacional, bem como do pleno exercício da cidadania. Interessa-nos compreender como se dão as utilizações multifacetadas desse dispositivo por parte do Governo Federal.
