Definite Determiners in French and its Czech Equivalents

Abstract

The theme of the Bachelor´s thesis are definite determiners in French and its Czech equivalents. The aim of the thesis that is based on the specialized literature is to describe their morphological, syntactic and semantic properties including their function in the discourse. The result is deliberate synthesis of possible Czech equivalents corresponding with definite determiners in French. The thesis is divided into two main parts including theoretical and practical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe French definite determiners. The practical part determines possible Czech equivalents of the definite French determiners on the basis of comparison original French text to its Czech translation
