Spider embryology

Abstract

Spiders belong to the order Araneae and can be found in almost all habitats, from the aerial heights to a man’s home. Because of their abundant numbers, spiders usually don’t fall into the category of endangered species. They are easily bred and suitable for scientific research. In this paper, a short review of spider embryology has been presented, starting with fertilization and ending with the first molt. Two examples have been listed: Parasteatoda tepidariorum and P. japonica as well as the metameric phase, embryo inversion and the development of the nervous, respiratory, digestive system and the appendages
