Elements of violence in movies for younger school-age children
Abstract
Nasilje među djecom definira se kao namjerna izloženost negativnom, ponavljanom djelovanju od strane jednog djeteta ili više njih, zbog kojeg dijete trpi emocionalnu ili tjelesnu štetu, a nemoćno je da se odupre. Upravo takvo nasilje nalazimo i u filmovima za djecu. Ovaj diplomski rad usmjeren je na elemente nasilja u igranim filmovima za djecu mlađe školske dobi. Koristeći literaturu na temu medija, filma, nasilja i povezanosti navedene tri stavke, ovaj rad donosi konkretne primjere filmova s definiranim elementima nasilja. Isto tako, opisane su posljedice nasilja te prevencija nasilja kroz ulogu roditelja i edukatora.The violence among children is defined as a conscious and repeated exposure of the child to the negative actions made by one or more children, which results with an emotional or physical damage to the child who is unable to defend himself/hersleft. That is the type of violence we find in the movies made for children. This work is focused on elements of violence in movies for younger school – age children. By using literature focused on media, movies, violence, and the connection of the three items, this work brings specific movie examples with defined elements of violence.
