HAMA UTAMA TANAMAN UBI KAYU (Manihot esculenta Crantz.) DI KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN)

Abstract

Hama dan penyakit merupakan salah satu faktor pembatas dalam budidaya tanaman ubi kayu. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di pertanaman ubi kayu rakyat Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari hama utama yang menyerang tanaman ubi kayu dan mengukur tingkat serangannya di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Metode penentuan lokasi menggunakan Purposive Random Sampling. Metode pengambilan sampel secara acak sistematis. Sampel diambil yang terletak pada petak sampel dengan ukuran ± 400 m2 (20 m x 20 m) yang terletak dalam hamparan ± 0,5 Ha pertanaman ubi kayu yang berumur ± 4-5 bulan. Ditemukan empat spesies hama yang menyerang tanaman ubi kayu di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan yaitu kutu putih Paracoccus marginatus dan Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi, kutu kebul Aleurodicus dispersus, tungau Tetranichus cinnabarinus. Hama yang dominan ditemukan menyerang tanaman ubi kayu di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan adalah hama kutu putih P. marginatus yang menyebabkan intensitas kerusakan sedang dengan populasi hama 56,01 ekor/tanaman. IN PESISIR SELATAN REGENCY ABSTRACT Pests and diseases are one of constrain in cassava productions. The research was done in cassava plantation in Pesisir Selatan with the objectives were to determine species of major pests attacking cassava and measured of demage intensity in Pesisir Selatan regency. Purposive Random Sampling method was used for taking location. Sampling methode was used systematic random. The samples were taken from 400 m2 sample plot layed in a middle of ±0,5 Ha cassava plantation which was ± 4-5 months. There were four species found. They were Paracoccus marginatus, Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi, Aleurodicus dispersus, and Tetranichus cinnabarinus. The dominant pest species in cassava plant found in Pesisir Selatan regency was P. marginatus which caused medium damage intensity with pest population 56,01 individuals per plant.
