Pengaruh Kosmopolitanisme Aktor Non-Negara terhadap Kebijakan Nasional: Peranan DGB dalam Kebijakan Open-Door sebagai Respon atas Krisis Pengungsi

Abstract

The Germany’s open door policy is a policy which opening the nation’s border widely for refugees. However, this open door policy received a backlash from domestic and foreign countries. For the domestic sides, Germany Government reaped critics and racism sentiment from right-wing groups. Meanwhile, for the foreign countries side, Germany being criticized because worked unilaterally on this issue and ignored shared solutions with European Union. Angela Merkel, the Germany’s chancellor who brought up the policy remains on her stance to open up the border for refugee. Merkel’s decision was influenced by the cosmopolitanism values from social movement and political institution. The social movement which influenced Merkel’s decision was a trade union named Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB). Whilst for the political institution, it is indicated by Merkel's cabinet that expressly leaves no room for racism
