Migraciones e identidades en vida feliz de un joven llamado Esteban, de Santiago Gamboa

Abstract

El presente análisis asume la figura del migrante como una elaboración cultural producto de los desplazamientos globales en la época contemporánea, escribiendo este individuo como un ser incompleto en constante cambio y construcción. Este análisis se realiza a la luz de los postulados sociológicos sobre la migración global, sus causas y consecuencias en la obra vida feliz de un joven llamado Esteban, del escritor colombiano Santiago Gamboa. Las construcciones literarias de los personajes migrantes de la obra de Gamboa se edificaron haciendo uso de los símbolos e imágenes de los diversos países que visita el protagonista de la obra, estos símbolos ayudan a definir la identidad de los diversos personajes. El rastreo de estas imágenes se hizo con la ayuda de la imagología, la rama de la literatura comparada que se encarga del estudio de las imágenes en las obras literarias.The present analysis assumes the figure of the migrante as a cultural developed, as a product of the global displacements in the contemporary time, describing the main character as an incomplete being that is in constant change and construction. This analysis is done on the light of the sociological postulates about the global migration, their reasons and consequencesbased on the book Vida feliz de un joven llamado Esteban , written by the Colombian author Santiago Gamboa. The literary constructions of the migrant characters of Gamboa's book, were built by the use of symbols and images of the different countries that the main character visits, these symbols help to define the identity of the diverse prominent figures.
