Cylinder head of a diesel motor equipped with a valve mechanism. The valve
installed consists of the inlet valve and the exhaust valve. The inlet is a valve used
to open and close the inlet into the cylinder. While the exhaust valve is used to
open and close the drain so the exhaust gas can come out of the combustion
chamber. Overlapping is the time when the exhaust valve has not closed fully but
the inlet valve has begun to open. Overlapping function to cool the temperature in
the combustion chamber, help release exhaust gas and maximize the fuel intake
process. The degree of overlapping really depends on the design of the engine and
how this machine works. The results of the analysis show that there is demage to
the valve component so it must be replaced and there is a contact between the
valve and the seat so that repairs are carried out by means of sealing. Greater
demage prevention measures by carrying out maintenance regularly
