chronischen Krankheiten, Medikation, Cholesterinwerten, Raucherstatus,
B. Angina Pectoris
nicht valide erscheinen. Des weiteren dürften bestimmte
Patientencharakteristika das Antwortverhalten beeinflussen.Patient self-reports cause less costs than a physical examination and are
therefore increasingly used for study purposes. This study assessed the
validity of patient self-reports of cardiovascular diseases, medication,
cholesterol values, smoking behaviour, body masses and operative interventions
as well as the influence of special patient characteristics like age, gender,
education and frequency of recent consultations. In line with previous
literature this study found that certain patient self-reports like diabetes
mellitus have an excellent validity whereas others like angina pectoris do not
seem to be valid. Furthermore certain patient characteristics may influence
patient self-reports
