Smart camera networks

Abstract

Inteligentne kamere su kamere koje mogu izvršiti zadatke daleko složenije od jednostavnog slikanja ili snimanja. Zahvaljujući ugrađenoj jedinici za inteligentnu obradu slike i algoritma za prepoznavanje obrazaca, pametne kamere mogu detektirati kretnju, mjeriti objekte, čitati registracijske tablice vozila i čak prepoznati ljudsko ponašanje. One su glavna komponenta aktivnog i automatiziranog kontrolnog sistema mnogih aplikacija i one će igrati veliku ulogu u našem svakodnevnom životu u bliskoj budućnosti. Opisana je njihova uloga u mreži inteligentnih kamera te detaljno istražene funkcije, način rada, prednosti i nedostatke te primjenu mreža inteligentnih kamera. Ovaj rad daje sveobuhvatan pregled tehnologija i aplikacija pametnih kamera. Ovdje su analizirani razlozi iza brzog razvoja pametnih kamera te je raspravljeno o različitim kategorijama na koje se dijele te je dan pregled na njihovu arhitekturu sistema. Također su istraženi njihovi inteligentni algoritmi, značajke i primjene. Na kraju je zaključeno sa raspravom o njihovim problemima u dizajnu, izazovima i budućim tehnološkim smjerovima.Smart cameras are cameras that can perform tasks far beyond simply taking photos and recording videos. Thanks to the purposely built-in intelligent image processing and pattern recognition algorithms, smart cameras can detect motion, measure objects, read vehicle number plates, and even recognize human behaviors. They are essential components to build active and automated control systems for many applications, and they will play significant role in our daily life in the near future. It is described about their role in smart camera networks and closely examined network’s functions, mode, advantages and disadvantages, and application. This paper aims to provide a first comprehensive review of smart camera technologies and applications. Here, the reasons behind the recent rapid growth of the smart cameras are analyzed, different categories of them are discussed and their system architectures are reviewed. It is also examined their intelligent algorithms, features and applications. Finally paper is concluded with a discussion on design issues, challenges and future technological directions
