SKLONOST RADNOJ MIGRACIJI UČENIKA SREDNJE ZDRAVSTVENE ŠKOLE U SPLITU : Diplomski rad

Abstract

Medical staff migration poses a major problem for the health system's sustainability and are equally problematic for developed and underdeveloped countries. Big number of literature deals with the migration of health care professionals but no examination of the attitudes of the students themselves. In order to fully approach the problem of migration, it was necessary to examine the attitudes of students in the education system, who will be work force of the health systemin a few or couple of years. This paper examines the opinions of the students of the Medical School in Split about their preferences for labor migration. Reasons for migration are divided into two basic groups, „push“factors and "pull" factors. The survey encompassed 256 students who pleaded for migration to boost their job prospects and poor and inadequate equipment of healthcare institutions. These factors are part of organizational factors and it is essential that economic policy makers are faced with addressing these issues
