—Serious games are becoming increasingly popular\ud in education, science, medicine, religion, engineering, and some\ud other fields. Additionally, serious heritage games, including virtual\ud reconstructions and museums, provide a good environment\ud for a synthesis of serious games and cultural heritage. This may\ud be used for education in the form of edutainment, comprising\ud various techniques, such as storytelling, visual expression of\ud information, interactivity and entertainment . This paper\ud demonstrates a new concept of using live virtual guides in a\ud Flash environment for cultural heritage virtual reconstruction.\ud A pilot user study compares another approach using the X3D\ud environment, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of\ud our concept. The introduced results can be easily adopted for\ud serious games development
