Optimasi Formula Sediaan Tablet Ekstrak Daun Salam Sebagai Antidiabetes Dengan Bahan Penghancur Explotab Dan Bahan Pengikat Na Alginat Menggunakan Metode Desain Faktorial

Abstract

Diabetes is a disease with an increase in blood glucose levels greater than 126 mg / dl. The community utilizes bay leaf as an antidiabetic drug. The content of flavonoids in bay leaves can lower blood sugar levels. This study aims to determine the effect of the amount of binder (sodium alginate) and crushers (explotab) on the physical properties of granules and physical properties of tablets and to determine the optimum formula. Tablets are made with four formulas, each of which has a different concentration of explotab and Na alginate derived from the factorial design. Each concentration of Na alginate and Explotab of formulas I, II, III, IV is (1%: 2%; 3%: 2%; 1%: 8%; 3%: 8%). The physical properties of granule are granular flow characteristic, the angel of repose, while physical characteristic test of tablets include weight uniformity, tablet hardness, tablet fragility, and disintegration test. Combinations of explotab and Na alginate can Increase flow rate, increase still angle, increase CV, increase hardness, decrease vulnerability, increase crushing time. The optimum concentration obtained in this study with the addition of explotab 6,6% and 1% alginate Na. The optimum predicted predictor was verified, the result of the prediction and the verification result was processed by using SPSS one sample t-test 95% confidence level showed no significant change in flow rate, tablet hardness, and disintegration test, the angel of repose, weight uniformity and fragility shows significant changes
