Community Care has spotlighted the debate about the role of voluntary organisations and where they fit in the purchaser/provider culture. Presents the results of a survey which approached 40 mental health voluntary organisations working at national and regional level in the UK. The findings of the survey indicate that the organisations were willing and able to be campaigners as well as providers
