    Concept cartoon in problem-based learning: A systematic literature review analysis

    Concept cartoon teaching strategy have the potential to increase creativity and innovation as well as the students' interest in understanding concepts. It is considered as a method that encourages students to continue exploring the issues raised and seeking solutions. This concept cartoon lesson is very suitable to be applied in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics which is often regarded as an abstract and difficult field. Therefore, it is becoming a necessity to see how far the cartoon concept in learning has been implemented in schools. This systematic literature review analysis aims to focus on the similarities and differences such as the objective used, the methodology used and the findings of the study. The study article was selected through a database of various types of journals according to keywords. Keywords used in the search are Concept Cartoon AND comic AND Problem-based learning. The search has been limited between 2009 and 2017. A total of 9 studies have been selected to be analyzed based on the four steps in systematic literature review. The four steps included frame a question, run a search, read the abstract and tittle of individual papers and abstract information from selected set of final articles. The results of the systematic literature review analysis can be concluded on recent research and previous research that cartoon concept teaching strategy is very effective in enhancing creative thinking as well as cultivating students' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

    Traduciendo la subjetividad: la traducción de Hu Feng de una novela proletaria soviética

    The renowned Chinese intellectual Hu Feng (1902-1985) is either referenced as the heir of the May Fourth critical spirit, especially that of Lu Xun (1881-1936), or associated with a famous case of political persecution in the 1940s and 1950s, namely, the “Hu Feng Anti- Revolutionary Clique.” However, the young Hu Feng as a translator during his years in Japan is somewhat neglected. This article situates Hu Feng in the context of world proletarian literature. I look into Hu Feng’s literary activities in Japan and examine his Chinese translation, Yanggui (1930), of a Soviet proletarian-utopian novel titled Mess Mend, or a Yankee in Petrograd (1923) via Japanese translation. I argue that the years in Japan and his translation of the Soviet novel shape Hu Feng as a thinker of international proletarian subjectivity.Al renombrado intelectual chino Hu Feng (1902-1985) se le menciona ya sea como el heredero del espíritu crítico del 4 de mayo, especialmente el de Lu Xun (1881-1936), o como el asociado con un famoso caso de persecución política en los años 1940 y 1950, es decir, la "Camarilla anti-revolucionaria de Hu Feng". Sin embargo, la labor del joven Hu Feng como traductor durante sus años en Japón está algo descuidada. Este artículo sitúa a Hu Feng en el contexto de la literatura proletaria mundial. En él se estudian las actividades literarias de Hu Feng en Japón y se analiza su traducción china, Yanggui (1930), de una novela soviética proletaria-utópica titulada Mess Mend, o un yanqui en Petrogrado (1923) mediada a través de una traducción al japonés. En este artículo argumento que los años en Japón y su traducción de la novela soviética conforman a Hu Feng como un pensador de la subjetividad proletaria internacional

    In Western culture the human body has been a secondary element, since the priority was the soul. The arrival of the Enlightenment was necessary for the body-matter-to begin to be taken into account. It can therefore be said that this conference has its origins in the 18th century. However, from then until now, a long time has passed, many events have happened, ideas have evolved a lot. But deep down, our perception of the body derives roughly from the ideological postulates of the Enlightenment.En la cultura occidental el cuerpo humano ha sido un elemento secundario, ya que el prioritario era el alma. Fue necesaria la llegada de la Ilustración para que el cuerpo –la materia– comenzara a ser tenido en cuenta. Puede, pues, decirse que esta conferencia tiene sus orígenes en el siglo XVIII.  Sin embargo, desde entonces hasta ahora, ha transcurrido mucho tiempo, han sucedido muchos acontecimientos, han evolucionado mucho las ideas.     This paper provides a first consideration of the dissemination and impact of the novels by Sebastiano Erizzo and Niccolò Granucci in the Spanish Golden Age, focusing on two of their main works, Le sei giornate (1567) and La piacevol notte et lieto giorno (1574), respectively. The characteristics of the identified copies, some coincidences with texts by Lope and Cervantes, and the information collected on the circulation of these two works, whose focus on morality may have favoured their dissemination, lead to the suggestion that their novels had a certain influence on Spanish literature. These circumstances should encourage Hispanists to turn their eyes towards the novels of Niccolò Granucci —who may have contributed to spread novels by other novellieri— and Sebastiano Erizzo when considering the traces of the Italian novella in the Spanish Golden Age.En este artículo se ofrece un primer panorama acerca de la difusión y repercusión de las novelas de Sebastiano Erizzo y Niccolò Granucci en el Siglo de Oro, en particular de dos de sus obras principales, Le sei giornate (1567) y La piacevol notte et lieto giorno (1574). Las características de los ejemplares localizados y los datos recabados en torno a la circulación de ambas obras por tierras españolas permiten suponer que sus novelas, cuyo carácter moralista probablemente favoreciese su difusión, ejercieron un cierto influjo en la literatura áurea. Esta circunstancia invita a volver los ojos hacia las novelas de Sebastiano Erizzo y Niccolò Granucci, hasta ahora poco atendidas en el ámbito del hispanismo, a la hora de valorar la huella de la novella en la España del Siglo de Oro, particularmente en autores como Lope o Cervantes

    This paper compares some characteristics of critical thinking promoted in science classes with characteristics of a type of thinking which we have called anti-critical, promoted by some social actors. For this purpose, firstly, we analyze the conceptualizations of critical thinking, especially its evaluative character based on quality standards. Next, we examine some examples of anti-critical thinking that deliberately violate the standards of clarity and precision intended to be developed at schools. Finally, we conclude by stressing the importance of promoting specific interdisciplinary instruction on anti-critical thinking in the classroom.El trabajo contrasta algunas características del pensamiento crítico que se intenta promover en las clases de ciencias con las características de una clase de pensamiento que hemos llamado anticrítico, promovido por ciertos actores sociales. Para ello, en primer lugar, se analizan las caracterizaciones del pensamiento crítico, en especial su carácter evaluativo basado en estándares de calidad. A continuación, se examinan algunos ejemplos de pensamiento anticrítico que violan deliberadamente los estándares de claridad y precisión cuya aplicación se intenta desarrollar en la escuela. Finalmente, se concluye resaltando la importancia de promover el tratamiento explícito del pensamiento anticrítico mediante enfoques interdisciplinarios en las aulas
