    Get PDF
The rapid advancement of digital technology has shaped Generation Alpha into a cohort deeply integrated with virtual interactions, thereby posing challenges to the development of empathy and social responsibility within real-life contexts. This study aims to examine the Madrasah Berbagi Program as a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in fostering empathy and social concern among madrasah ibtidaiyah students. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted at an madrasah ibtidaiyah and involved 20 fifth- and sixth-grade students, the school principal, and two teachers as key informants. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Triangulation and member checking were applied to ensure the credibility of the findings. The findings indicate that the Madrasah Berbagi Program provides authentic social experiences through students’ active involvement in identifying beneficiaries, collecting basic necessities, and directly distributing aid within the surrounding community. These activities stimulated emotional engagement, enhanced social sensitivity, and demonstrated indications of students’ prosocial behavior in their daily interactions. Although the program reflects several core principles of PjBL—such as authentic context, collaboration, and the production of tangible outputs with social impact—its implementation remains partial, as it has not fully incorporated student-driven formulation of essential questions and structured reflection as integral components of the instructional design. This study concludes that the Madrasah Berbagi Program holds strong potential as a contextual PjBL model for character education in madrasah ibtidaiyah

    Get PDF
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Wordwall application as an interactive gamified medium in enhancing fourth-grade elementary school students\u27 mastery of thaharah material in Islamic Religious Education at UPTD SDN 15 Parepare. Employing a quantitative experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, the research involved 26 students as participants. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments to measure conceptual understanding and practical application of thaharah, supplemented by observation sheets to assess student engagement during three learning sessions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing, paired sample t-tests (both two-tailed and one-tailed), and N-Gain calculations. The results revealed a significant improvement in mastery, with the mean score increasing from 58.92 in the pretest to 90.46 in the posttest, supported by a paired t-test value of 10.261 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The average N-Gain score of 0.72 indicated high improvement, while observation data showed effectiveness rising from 57% (sufficient) to 93% (very good). These findings demonstrate that Wordwall significantly enhances cognitive mastery, motivation, and active participation, aligning with Piaget\u27s constructivism theory and Mayer\u27s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. This study fills a research gap by providing empirical evidence on Wordwall\u27s effectiveness in elementary-level thaharah instruction through face-to-face learning. Despite its contributions, limitations include a small sample and lack of a control group, suggesting the need for future research with broader samples and more comprehensive designs

This study aims to analyze the role of the tahfiz program at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kota Sorong in fostering students’ worship discipline from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali. Specifically, it examines the processes of habituation and supervision, identifies the impact on students’ behavioral transformation, and explores challenges in sustaining discipline between school and home environments. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, the principal, and Grade V students, as well as documentation of learning and worship activities. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, including data reduction, coding, categorization, and interpretation to identify key patterns. The findings reveal that the tahfiz program functions as an integrated system combining structured memorization, habituation of religious practices, and continuous supervision. Habituation is implemented through routine worship activities, while supervision is reinforced through monitoring tools such as memorization cards and prayer control books. These processes significantly contribute to students’ behavioral transformation, as reflected in improved punctuality, consistency, motivation, and self-awareness in performing daily prayers. However, the study also identifies challenges in sustaining worship discipline, particularly due to the discontinuity between school and home environments, limited parental involvement, and inconsistent supervision outside school. In conclusion, the tahfiz program effectively supports the internalization of worship discipline when it integrates knowledge, practice, and supervision. However, its sustainability depends on the alignment between school and family environments. Strengthening collaboration between teachers and parents is essential to ensure consistent character development beyond the school context
