A comparison study on ornament of rumoh Aceh in Aceh Besar and umah pitu ruang in Aceh Tengah

This study aims to describe the diversity of ornaments used in traditional house in Aceh Besar and Aceh Tengah. The diversity of ornaments was viewed through four approaches, including: the location of ornament used in traditional house, types of ornament, the basic form of geometric, and the function. The location of ornaments used in traditional houses Is divided into three parts, lower part (the feet of the building), middle part (the body of the building), and top (the head of the building). The type of ornament described the ategory of ornament. The basic form of ornament is a study that described the geometric type of ornament. Finally, the ornament function is to explain the aesthetic, meaning, and technical functions of using ornamentation. Rumoh Aceh and Umah Pitu Ruang are cultural assets and local identities of Aceh with all its local wisdom. This study was conducted as an effort to preserve the existence of ornaments in Aceh traditional house, especially in Aceh Besar and Aceh Tengah

Development of Smart Traffic Light Controller System with Deep Learning Capability in Image Processing

The traffic congestion at the junction is becoming one of the major issues for many cities all around the world. One of the reasons causing this issue is due to the inefficient of the existing traffic light system at the traffic junction. This paper proposes a Smart Traffic Light Controller System (STLCS) with deep learning capability in image processing. The developed STLCS is comprised of Altera DE2 board, personal computer and Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 (NCS2). The personal computer is used as the vehicle detection system of the STLCS by performing various computer vision tasks and inference. The tasks include image acquisition, processing, and vehicle detection and counting. The smart feature of the system can detect the vehicles by using deep learning model and compute a flexible green time for each lane according to the density of traffic in each lane. The vehicle detection emphasizes the image processing by using the deep learning algorithm from the pre-trained model to increase the efficiency and computing time of the system. The efficiency of the vehicle detection system is about 94.73

Conceptualizing Asnaf Entrepreneurship for Zakat Institutions in Malaysia

The aim of this paper is to propose a conceptual framework to explore the challenges of the current practices of the asnaf entrepreneurship program and to establish Islamic entrepreneurship ecosystem as a mechanism in the development of the program among zakat institutions in Malaysia. This research will use qualitative study methods in gathering the primary data from informants among officers in zakat institutions, the asnaf entrepreneurs, the business advisors/experts and academicians. The collected data will be assessed to verify on how the program may help to develop the economy of the asnafs. Even though there is no ideal case as regard to the Islamic entrepreneurship ecosystem in this current world, zakat institutions may provide such alternative ecosystems. The findings of this research is expecting to enhance zakat institutions, Muslims societies, general publics, and policy makers on how this program may elevate the economic status of the asnaf from zakat recipients to become the zakat payers. Thus, the results of this research are anticipated to provide the landscape on how the asnaf entrepreneurship program may positively increase the income of the participants specifically and the societies in general
