Consumers' Omnichannel Integration Quality, Credibility and Innovativeness Perceptions of the Brands and Omnichannel Adoptions
In this study it is aimed to reveal how brands' omnichannel integration quality, omnichannel credibility and perceived innovativeness influence consumers’ omnichannel adoption and to reveal the mediating role of perceived omnichannel value on this effect. Also, it examines the omnichannel usage in tourism, banking, clothing and furniture sectors. For this purpose, the data obtained by sending an online questionnaire via social media applications and via email to 411 people from different cities and having different demographic characteristics were analyzed by SEM method. According to the results of the analysis, a relationship was found between omnichannel integration quality, omnichannel credibility and perceived brand innovativeness. In addition, it was concluded that perceived omnichannel value has a mediating role in the effect of omnichannel credibility and brand innovativeness variables on the omnichannel adoption variable, while it does not have a mediating role in the effect of the omnichannel integration quality variable on the omnichannel adoption variable. It is thought that this study and the results obtained are important in terms of being a guide in theory and practice, since the variables in the study are related to the use of omnichannel in the product and service purchasing processes of consumers
Effect of Consular Service in The Relationship Between Remittances, Skills & Knowledge, Technology, Investment and National Development – A Case of Kenya
The diaspora is widely recognized globally as a key contributor to economic growth. The Kenyan government's economic development plan, Kenya Vision 2030, acknowledges the significant role of the diaspora in the country's economic growth and national development. As a result, policymakers are increasingly focusing on the Kenyan diaspora. They have been instrumental in promoting skills, knowledge, and technology transfer to Kenya. This study analyzes how consular services facilitate the relationship between remittances, skills, technology, investment, and national development. This study used a questionnaire survey to gather data from the Foreign Service cadre staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kenya. 80 out of 100 questionnaires were returned and found usable. The study showed that there are 800 staff members in this cadre. Non-probability convenience sampling was employed. The data was analyzed using SPSS and Smart PLS. The study revealed the significant roles played by network theory and institutional theory in contributing to national development by the Kenyan diaspora. After testing eleven hypotheses, five were accepted (p-values 0.0000 to 0.0400), while six were not supported (p-values 0.196 to 0.646). It was due to the limited understanding and lack of acceptance of the need to improve the quality of consular services among the respondents. The study empirically confirms the pivotal role played by consular services in increasing dialogue between diplomatic missions and the diaspora and tapping into the underutilized potential of the diaspora in national development by developing investment-friendly policies targeting remittances and creating a platform for the transfer of skills, knowledge, and technology back to Kenya
Political Representation and Economic Growth
This paper constitutes the first study of its kind to conduct an empirical investigation of the relationship between representation as a political institution and economic growth in a panel data analysis. Showcasing two novel indicators of political representation that can significantly account for long-run cross-country differences in various measures of economic development, I employ two-step system GMM estimations to empirically test the growth effect of inclusiveness of political representation processes across 38 European countries in the 1950-2010 period. The results show that economic growth rates across Europe in the given time period has not depended on inclusiveness of said countries’ political institutions of representation, providing further evidence for the vein of institutional economics research that finds no relationship between features of democracy and growth
Impacts and Implications of Asymmetric Climate Policies on Trade and Environment: Evidence From EU
This paper critically addresses the need for a unified global climate policy, as opposed to region-specific emission trading systems, with a primary aim to contribute valuable insights to the ongoing discourse. Focused on the aluminum, cement, and iron and steel industries outlined in the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) proposal, our comprehensive analysis using gravity model for trade, centers on testing the validity of the Pollution Haven Hypothesis and Porter Hypothesis. Drawing on data from 10 major EU economies and 19 OECD partners across continents, our study demonstrates that carbon leakage predominantly occurs through trade channels, wherein countries import carbon-intensive products from less regulated nations. Our findings substantiate the Pollution Haven Hypothesis, revealing unintended pollution havens resulting from stringent environmental regulations, leading to carbon leakage through trade or production relocation. In contrast, supporting the Porter Hypothesis, our research underscores how stringent environmental policies can drive innovation within polluting countries, obviating the need for relocation or product imports. By substantiating both hypotheses, our paper advocates for a globally uniform climate policy and emphasizes the potential drawbacks of asymmetrical approaches. The central aim is to contribute to the understanding of how such policies may inadvertently contribute to trade-induced leakage, undermining the positive impact of local systems on a global scale. In light of ambitious climate targets, our study underscores the urgency for synchronized global efforts, reinforcing the call for consistent policies to effectively address the challenges of climate change
Measuring the Return and Volatility Spillovers between Canada, Japan and Emerging Stock Markets: Emerging Market risk
The study aims to investigate the impact of the stock market volatility spillover effect from major developed countries to emerging countries from the period 2014 to 2022 by using the GRACH model. For instance, Canada and Japan are the major contributors to G7 countries and whereas, India, Russia, Brazil, China and Turkey are the emerging countries in Asian and African subcontinents. It has been established that the stock market movement of Canada and Japan has substantially affected the stock markets of major emerging countries. However, Japan has major financial ties with all of the emerging countries except Russia. It is an astonishing fact that the insignificant coefficients of Japan and Canada with Russia indicate that the dynamics of Russian countries are a bit different than the rest of the world. The Russian economy is communist and generally perceived as a closed economy and the said does not have any major trade ties with the rest of the world
Model Design and Development for a User Support System Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Enterprise Resource Planning Software
For organizations, the error-free, consistent, and transparent management of business processes is crucial. Process management is related to the proper handling of data, and this is achievable through enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, which enables all departments structured around a central database to work together. From an organizational perspective, one of the most critical factors in the success of ERP software is its users. Users often require support during the use of ERP software for various reasons, such as lack of training and experience or technical issues. Providing this support, whether internally or from external sources, comes with a cost.
This study seeks to determine whether a structure can be developed where users can resolve their support requests themselves. To achieve this goal, we propose a model of an intelligent user support system with an AI-based process engine for ERP users. Using this model, unstructured user support requests created in natural language are transformed into structured forms using natural language processing techniques and then classified using multi-class machine learning algorithms. The relevant class's process is executed to generate a solution for the user's problem. In this study, 1,000 samples of text written in natural language in 10 different categories, based on real data, were used in the learning process. The data were analyzed using machine learning algorithms (K-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, C4.5, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Sequential Minimal Optimization, LibSVM) and deep learning algorithms (Long Short-Term Memory), The best classification was achieved with Sequential Minimal Optimization (SMO) using TF-IDF weighting. The developed chat and process robot helped convert requests or problems into a structured form and provided solutions. In addition to solving the problem through chat or process, technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality were used
What is the Role of Sustainability in the Relationship between Green Transformational Leadership and Firm Performance?
The aim of the research is to understand the relationship between green transformational leadership and firm performance, evaluating the role of sustainability strategies in this connection. Increasing global environmental issues and social inequalities necessitate companies to prioritize sustainability principles not only for financial concerns but also because of green transformation. In this context, focusing on the role of sustainability strategies is the main objective of the research. Quantitative research methods, specifically the cross-sectional survey method, were employed for data collection and analysis. A sample of 391 white-collar employees working in companies operating in Turkey was determined using the convenience sampling method. The data collected through surveys were analyzed using the AMOS 24 statistical program. The findings indicate that green transformational leadership is influential on firm performance, environmental sustainability, and economic sustainability. Additionally, economic sustainability was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between green transformational leadership and firm performance. It is expected that the obtained findings will provide a significant foundation for business leaders, guiding them in the development of sustainability-based strategies
A Sectoral Overview on the Integrated Reporting Practices in Turkey
In Turkey, it has become an obligatory practice for companies listed in Borsa Istanbul (BIST), brokerage firms and portfolio management companies to make financial reporting in the period starting from 2005. Financial reporting means that companies share their financial information in order to support decision-making processes for both current and potential investors, fund holders and all kinds of creditors. Along with financial reporting, the results obtained regarding the economic activities of the companies and the results of these activities are shared with the public. Today, it is seen that investor expectations regarding companies are not only economic and an understanding that takes into account the environmental and social effects of companies has been adopted. As a result, it is possible for companies to integrate non-financial reporting practices into their existing financial reporting processes and make integrated reporting. Integrated reporting provides financial information users with information about the financial status of companies, as well as their environmental impacts and social and corporate governance practices. Integrated reporting, which enables the information presented to financial information users to be more transparent and accurate, also ensures that corporate reporting is carried out in a healthier and more effective manner. In this study, the development process of integrated reporting both in the world and in Turkey has been discussed; and also the current situation has been determined. By examining the integrated reports published in Turkey on a sectoral basis, it has been observed that the number of integrated reports published over the years has increased.

The Transformation of Social Contract Theory: From Classical Natural Law Theory to the Individual of Liberalism
This article aims to analyze how classical Natural Law Theory in the 17 th century underwent a philosophical and epistemological transformation to become the foundational theory of the modern state in 17th century Europe. One of the primary focuses of this analysis is on exploring the historical societal processes and phenomena resulting from the principles of the Theory of Natural Law, particularly the theories of social contract. Another pivotal aspect of this scrutiny involves analyzing the relationship between individual-reason-nature, grounded in Liberalism's Theory of Natural Law, by comparing perspectives on Natural society and symbolic society. In a sense, this article aims to bridge distant and recent history, creating a short circuit to analyze the changes and transformations within the Theory of Natural Law.
