The Problem of Solitude in Modern Society

People with solitude problem seem to be rudimentary, but why is this problem discussed in the first place? Is this because of the structure of the modern society? The conclusion is “Yes”, but Solitude itself doesn’t make an obstacle of individual life. The real issue is that some individuals seem to have difficulty coping with the state of solitude. Only with the will to speak to others, or do whatever you want to do something exciting, you can overcome your solitude; in other words, self-confidence. Research on eye tracking during program comprehension

In recent years, programming education has been attracting attention. Programming education will become compulsory in elementary schools from 2020, and will be enriched in junior high school technology classes in 2021. Information I classes will be implemented as a common compulsory subject in high schools from 2022, and Information I will be newly added to the Common University Entrance Examination in 2025. For these reasons, it is expected that the number of programming learners will increase in the future, and discussion on programming learning is urgently needed. Understanding the basic control structure of a program is an important item in programming learning. Basic control structures include sequential, iterative, and branching, and by combining these, it is possible to write programs that perform various operations. In other words, understanding basic control structures and predicting the behavior of a program is the first step in learning programming. However, understanding individual control structures at the syntax level does not mean understanding the behavior of the program. Therefore, we created a program with a complex structure that combined multiple control structures and performed eye tracking. Inactivation Characteristics of Drug-Resistant Escherichia coli in Combined Chlorine Dioxide-UV Irradiation Treatment

This study investigated the inactivation characteristics of antimicrobial-resistant Escherichia coli (AMR-E. coli) using a combined treatment of chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) and UV-LED irradiation. Multi-drug resistant strains (5-drug and 6-drug resistant) and a non-resistant strain (ATCC25922) were examined under three treatment conditions: (1) ClO₂ alone, (2) UV-LED alone, and (3) simultaneous treatment with ClO₂ and UV-LED. ClO₂ treatment alone showed limited inactivation during the early phase of exposure (up to a CT value of 0.05 mg/L·min) for AMR strains. UV-LED treatment alone resulted in consistent inactivation rates with a rate constant of 0.75–0.85 mJ/cm²⁻¹ regardless of resistance, but AMR strains exhibited higher resistance during initial exposure. The combined treatment demonstrated a synergistic effect, achieving 1.2–2.8 times higher inactivation compared to individual methods. This enhancement is likely due to the oxidative action of ClO₂ altering UV absorption characteristics and overcoming initial resistance in AMR strains. The findings suggest that simultaneous application of ClO₂ and UV-LED irradiation significantly improves the inactivation of AMR-E. coli compared to either method alone. This study highlights the potential of this combined approach as a powerful disinfection strategy to address AMR bacteria in water treatment systems.departmental bulletin pape

Career Management in Rakugo 一 A Comparative Case Study of Professionals in Traditional Japanese Culture 一

【概要】本稿は, 日本の伝統文化専門職の生涯にわたる長期のキャリア形成の歩みに着目し, 中堅として周囲に認められて以降も, 自身の創造性を磨く努力を継続しているエキスパートのキャリア・マネジメントについて, 創造的熟達の視角から探究する。具体的には, 上方の落語家の事例調査をもとに, 落語家のキャリア形成の歩みを明らかにする。そして, 京都花街の芸舞妓および能楽師の研究成果と比較研究を行う。落語家は一人で技能発揮をするという職業上の特色があり, 他の2事例に比べて, 自分のオリジナリティをいかに磨くのかということに関して意識していることが明らかになった。そのため, キャリア形成のスタート時に組み込まれた徒弟的制度に加えて, 他の専門家との関係性や多様な技能発揮の場を, 意図的かつ継続的に活用していた。This study investigates the lifelong career development of experts in traditional Japanese Culture specialists, focusing on the creative mastery of mid-career professionals. Using Kamigata rakugo performers as a case study, we examine how rakugo performers develop their careers. Compared to geiko and maiko in Kyoto's Five Kagai and Noh actors, rakugo performers, who work independently, demonstrate a stronger awareness of cultivating their originality. To achieve this, they actively leverage relationships with other professionals and seek out diverse performance opportunities, in addition to the traditional apprenticeship system.departmental bulletin pape
