Zarte Fügung. Hölderlins Rhythmen der Erinnerung
After 1801, Hölderlin’s poetry changed considerably through the reworking of earlier poems and the development of a major new project which would, however, remain fragmentary. Hölderlin experienced the political and military failure of revolution in his time . From his perspective, the spirit is filled with what most people ‘hope for’, but also what they do not expect: «Nicht daß irgend eine Form, irgend eine Meinung und Behauptung siegen wird […]». The modern world (hesperischer Orbis) and the current revolution have given rise to great change, even destruction, but also created new relationships and possibilities that have yet to be understood and expressed. Hölderlin explores the ambivalence of this new world both in the extensive fragments of Das Nächste Beste and in the perfectly accomplished poem Andenken. The poetic rhythm of memory resonates with that ambivalence and, at the same time, leads to the revelation of the forgotten origin of all things (das Ursprüngliche). The enduring realisation of the «vaterländische Umkehr» can only be achieved through the intimate appropriation of this rhythm

The international research on Hölderlin has certainly not overlooked how much Hölderlin’s entire poetry and thinking revolves around nature. Therefore, his efforts, so diverse in themselves, to understand what ‘nature’ actually means to us, appear highly relevant in the face of the currently emerging ecological crisis. This article aims to present a specific interpretive framework using the model of permeable concentric circles in which the various phases of Hölderlin’s conceptions of nature do not cancel each other out, but remain valid and insightful simultaneously, rather than mutually exclusive

«Kannst du’s wohl mit geschloßnen Augen denken?». La semantica del vedere nelle traduzioni italiane della «Pentesilea» di Kleist: [«Can you still visualize it when you shut your eyes?». The semantics of seeing in the Italian translations of Kleist’s «Penthesilea»]
Starting from the centrality of the part played by the eye in Kleist’s work and, in particular, in Penthesilea, I propose to investigate how this field emerges from the Italian translations of the work. Supported by the instruments of Textsemantik (Greimas) and Texttheatralität (Poschmann) and following the comparative method (Utz), particularly significant passages from the tragedy are analysed which, in the light of this theme, pose interesting questions related to isotopy and can illuminate the differences between the translations
