Representaciones en la vida cotidiana: Un programa de investigación para la psicología cultural

Mit dem psychologischen Konzept der Alltagsfigurationen wird die Auffassung vertreten, daß Zusammenhänge des Erlebens und Verhaltens weniger von individuellen Eigenheiten als von kulturgeschichtlich gewordenen Mustern bestimmt werden. Mit Hilfe weiterentwickelter gestalt- und tiefenpsychologischer Methoden wird es möglich, die Sehgewohnheiten und Selbstverständlichkeiten von Handlungsroutinen aufzubrechen und in den gelebten Alltagskulturen spezifische Muster oder Verhältnisse transparent zu machen. In einem Forschungsprojekt der Universität Köln wurden auf der Grundlage von Tiefeninterviews und ihrer psychologischen Beschreibung und Rekonstruktion verschiedene Trends und Zeiterscheinungen des modernen Lebensalltags untersucht: z.B. die "Girlie"-Kultur, "Seifenopern", der "Fitneß"-Kult, die "Sonntagsneurose" sowie moderne Unterrichtskulturen. Dabei zeigten sich nicht nur vielfältige Lebensbilder, sondern darüber hinaus charakteristische Konturen der Gegenwartskultur im Ganzen. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs000289With the term "figurations in everyday-life" we discuss a psychological view on behavior as derived from cultural patterns more than from individual traits. Developing methods of Gestalt and depth psychology makes it possible to break up self-evident clichés and characterize some basic configurations of everyday-life. Within a research project at the Cologne university we have explored different trends of modern life by means of depth interviews and their psychological description and reconstruction: "Girly" cultures, "soap operas", the "fitness"-cult, "Sunday neurosis", educational cultures and the like. We not only found a schedule of modern ways of living, but were also able to delineate a scheme of present-day culture as a whole. Los métodos en desarrollo de la Gestalt y de la psicología profunda posibilitan la ruptura de clichés y la caracterización de algunas configuraciones básicas de la vida cotidiana En un proyecto de investigación en la Universidad de Colonia hemos explorado diferentes tendencias de la vida moderna a través de entrevistas en profundidad y de su descripción y reconstrucción psicológica: la cultura de las "chicas", de la "telenovela", el "físico culturismo", "la neurosis del domingo", culturas educativas y similares. El "Forschungsstelle Qualitative Methoden" en la Universidad de Heinrich Heine de Duesseldorf: Aproximaciones a la Investigación Social Científica sobre Psicoterapia

Es wird die qualitative Forschungstätigkeit der Abteilung Psychosomatik an der Universität Düsseldorf vorgestellt. Die Auswahl und Entwicklung qualitativer Forschungsmethoden für unser Arbeitsfeld wird angesprochen, in einer Übersicht werden die bearbeiteten Themen präsentiert: Narrative und Selbstbeschreibungen in psychotherapeutischen Erstgesprächen; musiktherapeutische Improvisationen; das Krankheitserleben von Endometriose-Patientinnen; Perspektiven des Verlaufs einer teilstationär-psychosomatischen Behandlung; Verlauf einer ambulanten Kurztherapie; Selbst- und Fremdbilder von Chefärzten; Indikations- und Tätigkeitskonzepte niedergelassener Psychoanalytiker. Digitalizando y proveyendo acceso de registros de casos médicos. El caso del trabajo de George Brown

Im März 1999 erhielt Qualidata Gelder vom Medical Research Council für die Digitalisierung, die Dokumentation und die Archivierung von Daten/Informationen, die den Forschungsarbeiten von George Brown entstammen. Diese Forschungen, die große Mengen quantitativen und qualitativen Datenmaterials hervorbrachten, gehen zurück auf die 60er Jahre und sind international anerkannt als Pionierarbeiten zu den sozio-ökonomischen Bedingungen psychischer Gesundheit und zu der sozialen Ätiologie der Depression. Die Daten wurden über viele Jahre bereits für folgende Forschungsarbeiten und für Lehrzwecke benutzt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden wir uns vor allem damit befassen, wie Qualidata das Digitalisieren der riesigen vorliegenden Materialmengen und deren Verbindung mit den quantitativen Daten realisiert hat und wie die Dokumentation der Bestände in einer Weise vollzogen wurde, dass diese tatsächlich als hilfreiche Quelle von Forschungsarbeiten genutzt werden können. Da es sich in den meisten Fällen um sensitives Datenmaterial handelt, diskutieren wir zusätzlich Fragen eines angemessenen Zugangs zu den Beständen. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs000368In March 1999, Qualidata secured a grant from George BROWN, via the Medical Research Council to undertake the preparation, scanning, documentation and archiving of data and documentation from the lifetime research of Professor George BROWN. The research, comprising a very large resource of both qualitative and quantitative materials, dates back to the 1960s and is considered, internationally, to be among the most pioneering work on socio-economic aspects of mental health and the social aetiology of depression. It has already been in regular use for many years, both for ongoing research and for teaching purposes. In this paper we will describe: the logistics of conducting and managing the huge task of scanning the paper-based materials; tying this in with the quantitative data; and documenting the data in order to make them a useful resource for researchers. Because the data are very sensitive we also mention ways of enabling the most appropriate access. Grupos focales online: Discusiones electrónicas para la investigación

Als Teil einer Promotionsarbeit wurden im Rahmen einer Online-Fokusgruppe Fragen und Themenbereiche entwickelt, die in (Tiefen-) Interviews mit Fernkursstudenten Anwendung fanden. Die Untersuchung betraf Motive, Erschwernisse usw., die für eine Entscheidung, an Fernstudiengänge teilzunehmen, bedeutungsvoll waren. Im Rahmen der Fokusgruppe wurden ca. zweieinhalb Monate asynchrone Gespräche geführt. Von dieser Untersuchung ausgehend enthält der Beitrag auch ein FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) für Online-Fokusgruppen. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs0001185As part of a dissertation research project, an online focus group was created in order to help determine questions and issues to be asked in depth interviews of distance learning students about their motives, barriers and enablers in their decision to enroll in adult distance learning courses. The focus group used asynchronous discussion through a listserve for approximately two and a half months, and identified several key issues that were explored in the depth interviews.
