KOBİ'LER AÇISINDAN İNTERNET KULLANIMININ AVANTAJ VE DEZAVANTAJLARI

Çalışmada KOBİ'lerin internet kullanım profili ortaya çıkarılmış ve KOBİ'lerin internet avantaj ve dezavantajlannı hem mevcut durumda algılama şekli ve hem de bu avantaj ve dezavantajlar hakkındaki gelecekteki beklentileri ortaya konmuştur. Toplam 237 üretim KOBİ'sinden elde edilen anket sonuçları, işletmelerin interneti en çok e-mail kullanmak, web sayfalarını araştırmak, ürün ve piyasa araştırması yapmak ve müşterilerle bilgi alış-verişi için kullandıklarını ortaya koymaktadır. İnternetin halihazırda en büyük avantajı piyasalara erişim sağlaması olup, internetin gelecekte daha çok avantaj sunması beklenmektedir. Gereksiz internet kullanımının verimi düşürmesi, interneti kullanan işletme sayısının az olması, tedarikçiler veya müşterilerin on-line olmaması ve internette yapılan iş anlaşmalarının kanuni bağlayıcılığının olmaması internet hakkında algılanan dezavantajlardır. Possibilities and limitations for the measurement of the quality of life in urban areas

Additionally, quality of life issues have been recognized within the migration processes. In one view, quality of life relates to the degree to which the necessary conditions for satisfaction exists in a given society or region. It is argued that quality, as a measurable variable would refer to both the subject and the object of inquiry. In this sense, quality of life has two aspects, psychological and environmental ones. Nevertheless, this limitation constitutes a major problem since some researchers have totally neglected the perception of the people who live there, while another limitation is about the components, indices and indicators chosen in a certain analysis. In this paper, the aim is to test some measurement methods of the quality of life and to show the possibilities and limitations of a developing area in comparison to developed ones. "The morality of it all:" The educational value of Canadian drama for moral education

Recent theories in moral philosophy elaborate on the dialogical nature of moral development and stipulate that moral identities are constituted within social, historical, and cultural contexts. According to this philosophical perspective, one of the ways in which moral agency needs to be understood and evaluated is according to those contextual variables which may generate moral response. This article aims to illustrate how theatre is a potent instructional medium to educate about the often enigmatic nature of moral choice. I suggest that plays include compelling studies of moral agents caught in complex and lifelike dilemmas through which are exposed the often ambiguous and paradoxical dimensions of moral conduct. Furthermore, I argue that contemporary Canadian plays offer useful fictional contexts to illuminate the intricate process of moral choice, and I cite concrete examples to illustrate the kinds of moral scenarios recent Canadian drama explores. © Kluwer Academic Publishers

Cultural continuity of Istanbul through urban promenades

International Conference on Cities in the New Millennium -- SEP 14-16, 2000 -- NEWCASTLE TYNE, ENGLANDIstanbul; with its history of housing Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Turkish cultures, possesses and reflects multi cultural quality in its urban fabric. This paper will focus on neighbourhoods of Istanbul which possess monuments of Byzantine, Ottoman period and characteristic urban fabric of Istanbul in history. While these monuments are frequently visited areas of the city, their urban fabric is often neglected. This paper aims to integrate these monuments with their surrounding urban fabric as promenades, reflecting the culture they once possessed and as places of the city rich with spatial characteristics, an excerpt from the past in making today's cities livable. Promenade of Kariye-Ayvansaray, promenade of Eminonu-Nuruosmaniye Mosque are selected for this study. YÜKSEK ÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINDA SÜREÇ YENİLEME

Gelecek için yönetimin özelliklerinin ortaya konulabilmesi için, öncelikle toplumu oluşturan bütün öğelerdeki gelişme eğilimlerinin belirlemesi gerekir. Stratejik düşüncenin odak noktası, yarını göz önünde tutarak, bugün yapılması gerekenlerin belirlenmesi ve uygulamaya geçilmesidir. Geleceğin örgütlerine yönelik stratejilerin başarıyla uygulanabilmesi için, örgütün yeni bir anlayış ve yaklaşımla yeniden tasarlanması gerekir. Geleceğin şekillendirilmesi için yapılacak çalışmalar, eğer örgüt yeni vizyonlar için gerekli kabiliyet ve kapasiteye sahip değilse başarılı olamayacaktır. Öyleyse örgütsel mimari bir bütün olarak ve gelecek stratejiler için gerekli kabiliyetleri geliştirecek şekilde yeniden tasarlanmalıdır. Bu düşünce sistemi içinde kullanılabilecek yöntemlerden biri de süreç yenilemedir

ULUSLARARASI İŞ ORTAKLIKLARININ NİTELİKLERİ VE KURULUŞ NEDENLERİ

Bu çalışma öncelikle iş ortaklıklarının karakteristiklerinin ve diğer stratejik işbirliklerinden ayırt edici özelliklerinin detaylı bir analizini sunmaktadır. İş ortaklıklarının farklı tanımları ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmada firmaları iş ortaklığı kurmaya iten stratejik faktör olan teknolojik bilgi, risk paylaşımı, tamamlayıcı kaynaklar, ölçek ekonomisi, piyasalara erişini ev sahibi ülke politikaları ele alınmıştır
