Unravelling the Southern Neighbourhood Dynamics of the European Research Area: Tailored Positive External Differentiation and Segmentation

This article explains how the European Commission steers the incorporation of entities from specific geographic areas and specialising in specific thematic domains into international research-intense projects through detailed guidance elaborated in the documentation of open calls for project applications. This hoop-test guided process tracing study aims to better understand what factors come into play in the formation and facilitation of the engagement of the European Southern Neighbourhood-based entities in the European Research Area through projects funded by the European Union’s Framework Programmes. Medale Stefana Batorego. Uwagi ikonograficzne

The author of this paper discusses twenty-six works of art, including medals, coins, portrait engravings, emblems as well as specimens of woodcarving and sculpture. Apart from a detailed analysis of the medallic legacy of Stefan Batory, the aim of this study is to find and describe works of art that a medallic artist might have been exposed to when commissioned by the king or his immediate circle to fashion a medal. Having identified direct sources of inspiration for seventeenth-century artists, it has been possible to offer a better explanation of how Stefan Batory promoted his own indisputable political or military achievements.  The author of this paper discusses twenty-six works of art, including medals, coins, portrait engravings, emblems as well as specimens of woodcarving and sculpture. Ignacy Potocki was one of the foremost actors on the Polish political stage during the reign of Stanisław August Poniatowski, particularly during the Great Sejm. Among other things, he was a member of the Commission of National Education. He was also marginally occupied with literature, notably with playwriting. Wyzwania dla mediów społecznościowych w kontekście rosyjskiej dezinoformacji

In recent years, the European Union has adopted a number of active measures to prevent, combat and mitigate the effects of Russian disinformation. This effort relies primarily on the legislation which regulates how the media in Europe operate, with particular emphasis on large online platforms. This is due to the fact that social media are a major domain where Russian propaganda is disseminated, thus posing a threat to the election processes in democratic states.
