Planowanie zajęć dydaktycznych na studiach wyższych w okresie pandemii
The article focuses on the issue of preparing the schedule of didactic classes in the conditions of social isolation and sanitary regime during the COVID-19 pandemic at universities in Poland. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, based on individual interviews, partially directed, with employees responsible for planning in 2017 2021, analysis of existing databases, i.e. state-wide regulations and intra-university regulations. To elaborate on the subject, an outline of the pre-pandemic timetable preparation process was outlined and compared with planning in times of complete isolation and recovery to relative normality in a sanitary regime. The preparation of a relevant timetable of didactic classes, taking into account study plans for individual fields of study for the entire education cycle, is a time-consuming and responsible work, in which the margin of error should be minimized in: overlapping the implementation of didactic units and hourly miscalculation of individual subjects. This task in the period of isolation and relative stabilization in the sanitary regime was a huge challenge for planners, who often had to react to a dynamically changing pandemic situation. Inefficient preparation of timetables can significantly disrupt the organization of the didactic process in higher education. The article focuses on the issue of preparing the schedule of didactic classes in the conditions of social isolation and sanitary regime during the COVID-19 pandemic at universities in Poland. Socjalizacja i wychowanie. W poszukiwaniu genezy wychowania (perspektywa ewolucyjna)
The author deals with the problem of differences in meaning between the concepts of socialization and education. In social sciences, and especially in educational sciences, there is no agreement as to the relationship between the scopes of these two fundamental concepts. The article attempts to overcome these semantic difficulties by adopting an evolutionary perspective in line with the assumption that education emerged as a specific type of socialization in human prehistory. The search of its essential properties (and thus differences), was guided by the cognitive directive of Aristotle, according to which “the best understanding of things is achieved by those who study them at their inception”. The article uses the method of data analysis established in numerous studies on social and cultural human development, starting from the earliest stages of life in primitive groups. Socialization appeared in these groups as a way of transmitting collective experience, and thus culture, necessary for their survival. The continuation of theanalysis leads to investigating what factors made this culturation take a different form, namely that of education. As it turns out, this difference is difficult to discern in the intentionality of cultural influences. It appears only when the group becomes aware of the need to adapt adolescents to fulfill various social roles. This already requires going beyond socialization, which is always a spontaneous process including widespread participation of group members in the transmission of an experience that is also common. In order to provide selected group members with selected elements of the experience linked to their social role, the group must appoint competent members for the transfer of the experience selected to perform specific social roles. These activities constitute one more role distinguished in the group – the role of the educator. And the activities that make up their performance are education. The author deals with the problem of differences in meaning between the concepts of socialization and education. Intersex child’s parents’ negative experiences – case study
Intersexualism is often treated as a secret in medical and family systems. According to the thesis that intersex body is pathological and requires immediate surgical and hormonal regulation, intersex persons are subject to the process which involves rapid production of normative masculinity or femininity through invasive clinical practices. The goal of the study was to diagnose the experiences of parents of an intersex child with searching for support during the treatment for both the child and themselves. The study was conducted by means of individual semi-structured interview. The results are presented as a case study. It was shown that parents do not always receive the necessary social and medical support, and their children are treated as sensations and pathologies, regardless of the fact that empathy and acceptance are critical for making the right treatment-related decisions.Intersexualism is often treated as a secret in medical and family systems. Utrwalanie w nauczaniu historii przy pomocy algorytmu SuperMemo i jemu podobnych – propozycja metody redagowania treści historycznych
The historical knowledge of Poles, including Polish students, leaves much to be desired, even on a basic level. The insufficient or even the lack of consolidation is the most likely explanation of this phenomenon. The proposed solution to this problem is the SuperMemo and its similar algorithms, along with school history content specially edited for its needs. Basically an algorithm is a set of steps leading to the completion of a task. In the SuperMemo case, the task is to optimize learning, or rather to reduce forgetfulness, while reducing the time devoted to still well-remembered knowledge. Both the SuperMemo and its similar have been implemented in many applications. Quizlet or the software with the same name as the algorithm – SuperMemo, are the examples of such applications. They allow you to learn your own materials as well as those already edited, either by the producer or by other users. The previously edited school historical content for the SuperMemo algorithm and its similar cannot be considered satisfactory if important issues such as: compliance with the core curriculum, division into classes and topics, historical narrative coherence, relationships between pairs of questions and answers, or degrees of difficulty, are regarded. This article proposes a method that can improve this state of affairs. It is the result of theoretical and quasi-experimental work, corrected later on the basis of more serious editorial experience. The historical knowledge of Poles, including Polish students, leaves much to be desired, even on a basic level. The student government as an educational method. Rich past and poor present
Democratic and governmental transformations require students to develop numerous civic skills that will allow them to fully participate in adult life and enjoy all civil rights. They constitute a very important link in the school education cycle, but above all, in civic education. The student government creates one of the most important forms of social activity available to students, which allows them to develop, among others, organizational skills. It also furthers the child’s development. Active participation in the student government is an indicator of students’ self-awareness and development; it directs their activities towards cooperation and readiness to carry out tasks for the benefit of the school community. However, despite numerous educational aspects, creating optimal conditions for the functioning of the student government is the most difficult task of a modern school (Sowisło, 1996, p. 7).Democratic and governmental transformations require students to develop numerous civic skills that will allow them to fully participate in adult life and enjoy all civil rights. Doping – problem nieświadomego społeczeństwa i polityki międzynarodowej państw
The definition of doping in the World Anti-Doping Code is an important instrument of international politics. While implications are obvious for the professional athletes participating in Olympic Games, they remain vague for the broader society – the followers of the Olympic struggles. The article is an attempt to indicate the problem faced by society, international institutions and states, trying to pursue an effective anti-doping policy. It presents a comprehensive description of one of the largest doping scandals with the participation of the Russian authorities in 2013–2014 and the results of the author’s research on society’s knowledge of doping in sports. Public awareness of banned substances and methods may turn out to be crucial while assessing the actions of governments and international institutions. Society may have insufficient knowledge about doping and may be unaware of its role in politics on an international scale. An ani-doping policy is a part of state policy, so it impacts the way of benefiting physical culture which is one of the areas creating the public sector. The definition of doping in the World Anti-Doping Code is an important instrument of international politics.
