A Procedure for the Derivation of Surface-Layer Bulk Relationships from Simplified Second-Order Closure Models
abstractEN: A procedure for the derivation of surface layer bulk relationships from simplified second-order closure models is presented. Although a specific model [ the Mellor -Yamada level-2 model (Mellor and Yamada 1982)] was used as an example, the procedure may be applied to a broader class of simplified second-order turbulence parameterization schemes. For the special case of the level-2 model, approximating formulas are given for direct calculation of fluxes from the wind speed and temperature difference across the surface layer. These approximations are especially recommended for models that use Mellor-Yamada closure schemes.score: 30collation: 126-13

Air Evacuation from the Pressure Accumulator during Work Cycle of the Pneumatic Pulsator
abstractEN: Practically applicable vessel evacuation is presented in the article. The pressure accumulatoris a vessel which is a part of the pneumatic pulsator which is used for unclogging outlets of silos. APseudo-schlieren visualisation method of density gradient and values of Mach number are shown. There is also a time variation of outflow velocity analysed. Airflow fluctuates after time of 50 ms.The main reason could be the inertia of the air mass and a large outlet diameter relative to the mainvessel dimensions.score: 7collation: 327-33

Optimization of the Microstructure of Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell Anode
abstractEN: Development of Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells is strongly governed by improvement of durability and efficiency of the main components. This can only be achieved by defining the relationships between structure and properties of materials for MCFC. Present work introduces the results of optimization of the manufacturing process parameters and characterization of materials obtained herewith. Tape-casting manufacturing technique based on forming of a slurry with strictly defined composition and properties was used. The influence of slurry composition and further heat treatment conditions are correlated with structural parameters such as porosity and pore morphology in final products.score: 5collation: 274-27

Natryskiwanie łukowe powłok Fe-Al
abstractEN: The paper presents preliminary results of research on theproduction of composite coatings from the Fe-Al systemwith participation of intermetallic phases in-situ using arcspraying. The spraying process was carried out by simultaneouslymelting two different electrode wires, aluminium andsteel. The aim of the research is to create protective coatingswith a composite structure with a significant participationof FexAly as a intermetallic phases reinforcement. The synthesis of intermetallic takes place during the (in-situ) spraying process. Currently most of coatings involving intermetallic phases are being manufactured by different thermal sprayingmethods using coating materials in form of prefabricatedpowders containing intermetallic phases. The obtained results showed that the local occurrence of intermetallic phases from the Fe-Al system, and the dominant componentsof the structure are two phases, aluminium solid solutionsin iron and iron in aluminium. The participation of intermetallic phases in the coating is relatively low, but it’s effecton the properties of the coating material is significant.score: 9collation: 62-6
