63AbstractI considered change of cooling system on Shinkansen （Japanese Bullet Train）. I examined the cooling system from Freon boiling cooling and windcatcher on thyristor to cooling by runing wind on Aluminum-fin of IGBT（Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor）/SiC（Silicone Carbide）.  I hoped keep thinking new cooling system of next Shinkansen including Liner Chuo Shinkansen.1．はじめに　新幹線が還暦を迎える年（東海道新幹線・1964 年 10 月 1 日開通）を記念し、新幹線の機器でも、機械工学・熱工学で重要な CI（主変換装置）の冷却についての過去と現在を調査・考察する。　具体的には、サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式（200 系・使用素子 1000A,2500V）からIGBT（絶縁ゲート型バイポーラトランジスタ）・SiC（Silicone Carbide）のアルミフィン型走行通風冷却（N700 系・出力 305kW × 4）への変換・改良をまとめ・考察する。　さらに、次世代（建設・開発中）のリニア中央新幹線の冷却についても考察する。その具新幹線の冷却の変化： サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式から IGBT （絶縁ゲート型バイポーラトランジスタ）・ SiC（Silicone Carbide）の アルミフィン型走行通風冷却へ大　竹　浩　靖Change of Cooling System on 62 − 2 号64体例として、超電導マグネットの冷却、すなわち超電導状態を維持できる条件をまとめ・考察する。　最後に、東北新幹線・北海道新幹線（併せて、青函トンネル）に乗車する時間を設けたので、実際に乗車し、車両速度、乗り心地、騒音、を体験・実感した。その解説、考察をまとめる。　以下に、上記を順番に解説する。2．サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式　まず、 200 系新幹線 （写真 1［1］） の主変換装置の冷却について解説する。表 1［2］に、主シリコン制御整流装置の仕様を示す。表 1 内に示すように、200 系のサイリスタの冷却はフロン沸騰冷却風冷式である（使用素子 1000A,2500V）。この装置の主な特長は、下記である［2］。　・ フィン内沸騰形フロン冷却方式【200 系はフロン沸騰冷却風冷式（別な表現をすると、沸騰冷却と凝縮除熱という相変化を利用し、大きな熱移動を実現）】を採用して、素子の交換を容易にしている｡　・ サージ吸収器には従来の CR フィルタの代わりに非直線性素子を用いて、抵抗器の損失低減による自冷化及び軽量化を図った　なお、200 系の最高速度は 1980 年・開業当時 210 km/h（開業当時、大宮始発）であったが、1983 年以降は、240 km/h および 275 km/h の走行が可能となった。現在の E5（写真 2［1］）・H5 の最高速度は 320 km/h である（2013 年 3 月 16 日より。追記：東北・上越新幹線は雪害対策が高い、特に上越新幹線では一部区間で加熱器を準備済み）。写真 1　200 系新幹線［1］新幹線の冷却の変化：サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式から 系も同様に走行風で冷却するタイプである）。　車両速度が高速度になった、および、冷却面積を十分採れるようになったことで、（再生可能エネルギーが利用されているように）車両速度が冷却に積極的に使われるようになったと考えられる。なお、ここでのブロアレス主変換装置（TCI905C 形主変換装置）は、軽量化を（約 12％軽量）目的として、主半導体素子の冷却用ブロアモータを廃止したものであり、装置底面に冷却フィンおよびスロープを設け、車両走行時に車両床下に発生する走行風を冷却フィンに取り込むことにより行うものである。このブロアレス CI では冷媒や凝縮器が不要（故に、沸騰冷却なし）で形状がシンプルなアルミフィンとしている。表 2　主半導体素子冷却方式の変換：300 系からN700 系まで［3］（右側TCI905 C が、N700 S）4．リニア中央新幹線（リニアモーターカー）の冷却方式　さらに、リニア中央新幹線（写真 3［1］）の冷却についても考察する。すなわち、リニア中央新幹線で重要な冷却、超電導マグネットの冷却を考える。　つまり、超電導マグネットを 4K（ヘリウムの飽和温度）に保ち続けられる、かである。この実現に重要なのが、“液体ヘリウムの沸騰伝熱”の定量化であり、ここではこの液体ヘリウムの沸騰伝熱の定量化を文献調査する。なお、具体的には、導体に通電可能な最大電流を計新幹線の冷却の変化：サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式から IGBT（絶縁ゲート型バイポーラトランジスタ）・SiC（Silicone Carbide）のアルミフィン型走行通風冷却へ 67算する方法を（液体ヘリウムの沸騰伝熱を中心に）示す及び簡単に解説し、常電導遷移後のCold-end Recoveryに基づくEqual-Area Creationにより、導体に通電可能な最大電流を計算する方法を解説する【超電導導体に通電可能な最大電流 Imax は、Nick の安定性基準（の比較）を用いたものである】。　この時、超電導導体の熱的安定性は、大別して「磁気安定性」、「断熱温度上昇」および「冷却安定性」の3つの概念により構成される断熱安定性および動的安定性とにより構成される。詳細は文献［4］に譲り、ここでは、機械工学・熱工学で問題になり得る第 3 の「冷却安定性」を考え、それが対象とする超電導導体の時間的状態推移を図 1［4］のように要約する。すなわち、状態推移の発端は、磁束跳躍や導体摩擦などの「パルス的擾乱」や交流損失や特性劣化などの「継続的擾乱」に起因する熱擾乱が超電導導体に印加されることである。この考え方により、電流分岐開始以降では、擾乱が終息するまでは熱擾乱とジュール発熱を、また終息以降ではジュール発熱を、導体内熱伝導と導体表面での伝熱とにより拡散してゆく過程により、導体の冷却安定性が決まる。　さらに考察すると、想定されうる次に大きな擾乱は、導体全体でなく半無限部分（0 ≦ χ ≦∞）が常電導遷移し、残りの半無限部分（－∞≦ χ ≺ 0）が超電導状態に留まる擾乱である。　最終的に、Maddock らにより提案された 「等面積基準低温安定性」は、冷媒温度にある端部が存在することが特徴で、「cold-end recovery」と呼ばれ、完全安定化に比べれば安定化材量を低減できる（参考図：図 Carbide）のアルミフィン型走行通風冷却へ 69　続いて、超電導マグネットの冷却に関する将来的な課題を二つまとめておく。第一は、従来の「低温超電導磁石」は電流が流れるコイルをマイナス 269℃（絶対温度 4.2K）以下に冷却するために液体ヘリウムを使っていたが、高温超電導磁石はマイナス 255℃以下で良いため冷凍機による冷却が可能となる。コイル素材をニオブチタン合金からビスマス系銅酸化物に変更するなどして実現し［5］、これが近づいた。私見となるが、リニアモーターカーの安全・安心走行、及び、後述する医療用 MRI の実例より、当分の期間、冷媒“液体ヘリウム”による冷却が使われ続けると思われる。　参考までに下記も記す。私の大学院学生時代（1990 年代前半）はリニアモーターカー試験場（宮崎県）で、よく“クエンチ（超電導から常電導へ変化・遷移）”が起こり、しばしばリニアモーターカーが停止していた（故に、超電導マグネットの冷却が熱工学の研究テーマになっていた）。現在は、JR東海・山梨実験線ではクエンチは1度も起きていないそうです［1］。ただし、国内の病院の約 12％で MRI のクエンチを経験しているそうです［1］。　第二として、リニアモーターカー、すなわち超電導磁石の冷却について、従来の液体 Heによるスターリング式の圧縮・膨張による他に、今後利用されようとしているパルス管（式）冷凍機の長所短所などを考察する。　まず、パルス管（式）冷凍機であるが、音波で冷やす冷凍機であり、熱音響冷凍機（古くは、釜鳴り現象がこの現象）とも呼ばれ、超電導応用機器冷凍用の冷凍機として期待が高まっている［6］。図 3［6］にパルス管冷凍機の基本構成図を示す。図 3　オリフィス方式パルス管冷凍機［6］　パルス管冷凍機では、デスプレイーサーの役割をシリンダー（「パルス管）」と称す）内のヘリウムガスが担っている。このヘリウムガスの役割は、パルス管内に点線で示されるようなガスピストンを想定することにより、その基本的動作原理を理解することができる。ガスピストンとはパルス管内に常に存在しているガスのことで、あたかも伸縮する固体ピストンのように作用することから、この名前が付けられた。圧縮機から供給される定常流ガスを、ガス切り替えバルブで回路を変更することにより、パルス管内には周期的な圧力振動が生じ工学院大学研究論叢　第 号70る。放熱器は圧縮仕事により発生した熱を系外へ放出する。蓄冷器は低温端で吸収した熱を蓄積する熱交換器としての役割を果たす。ガスピストンは圧縮機からの圧力によりパルス管内で伸縮し、圧縮→放熱→膨張→吸熱の一連の冷凍サイクルを形成する。最も冷える部分はコールドヘッドと呼ばれる。このときガスピストンが膨張仕事をして冷凍を発生させるためには、圧力とガスピストンの位置が最適な位相をとることが必要である。図 6 の方式のパルス管冷凍機は、オリフィス方式と呼ばれており、バファタンクに接続する配管にあるオリフィス（絞り）により、位相を調整している。この（オリフィス方式）パルス管冷凍機は、低温空間に可動部を持たないため軽量、低振動であり、構造が簡素でメンテナンスが容易であるという長所がある。　パルス管冷凍機は、“低温部に可動部を持たない”ことを最大の特徴としているが、それ故ヘリウムガスの変位と圧力変化の位相調整に制約があり、従来の（ＧＭ）冷凍機よりも効率や冷凍能力に課題がある。そのため、アクティブバファ方式と呼ばれる位相調整機構の考察により、効率に関してもＧＭ冷凍機に匹敵する値が得られている［6］。特に、高温超電導磁石（希土類系高温超電導線材を用いたもの：20～50 K 付近で安定する磁石）に運用できる可能性があると考えられる［6］。　最後に、東北新幹線・北海道新幹線（2016 年 3 月 26 日開通：N700 系同様、主電動機の冷却は通風冷却である（表 2 参照））に、実際に乗る機会を設けたので、下記について報告・考察する。　① 　車両速度【最高速度は、宇都宮ー盛岡の 320 km/h、盛岡～新青森～新函館北斗間は時速 260 キロ（整備新幹線）、大宮～宇都宮間は時速 275 キロ、東京～大宮間は時速 130 キロ［1］。そして、青函トンネル・青函隧道（53.85 km）内では、通常 160 km/h、年末年始・GW・お盆期間 210 km/h。そして、R6.12/30-R7.1/4 は 260 km/h が予定されている［1］。なお、E954 形試験車「FASTECH 360 S」（特長：ネコミミ・ブレーキ、主変換装置には冷却効率の高い走行風冷水冷却方式－N700S 系、E5・H5 系と同じ－を採用）および E956 形試験車「ALFA-X」による 360 km/h の走行試験が行われており、車両速度的には 360 km/h を達成できた。しかしながら、主に騒音が大きな問題となり、現在実用化はされていない。】　②　乗り心地【120m を超える長波長軌道変位：悪】　③ 　騒音【75 デシベル対策】を体験・実感した。その結果が以下である。　　① 　車両速度：大宮を越えて暫くすると、車窓の景色の流れ方が違った（速い）。盛岡を越えると緩やかになった（特に新青森を越えてからはゆっくり景色が動く）。320 km/h 走行時は、車両のすれ違い時間が数秒であった【計算値：253 m（10両：20 m/両,先頭車新幹線の冷却の変化：サイリスタのフロン沸騰冷却風冷式から IGBT（絶縁ゲート型バイポーラトランジスタ）・SiC（Silicone Carbide）のアルミフィン型走行通風冷却へ 7126.5 m）［1］÷ 320 km/h ÷ 2（すれ違い）＝ 1.42 秒】。　②　乗り心地：悪くなし：長波長軌道変位は感じなかった。　③ 　騒音：静かであった。羽田空港に向かう飛行機の進入路が変わった関係からか、自宅・東京都江東区の方が煩い時もある（但し、各トンネル内は除く）。　なお、青函トンネル内では、E5 系・H5 系は青函トンネル内の連続下り勾配区間を一定速度で走行できるように抑速（回生）ブレーキを装備している［1］。そのお陰で、非常に静かであった。走行時間は 22 分であった。距離 53.85 km と速さ 160 km/h の計算値【53.85［km］÷160［km/h］× 60［min］＝ 20.2 分】にほぼ一致した。5．まとめ　新幹線の機器でも、機械工学・熱工学で重要な CI（主変換装置）の冷却について過去と現在を調査・考察、さらにリニア中央新幹線で重要な超電導マグネットの冷却を調査・考察し、その結果をまとめた。　今後、この新幹線のエネルギー問題（付け加えると、“田中角栄（榮）【1918-1993/12/16】元首相の日本列島改造論［1］”から考えるエネルギー問題：北海道新幹線の札幌までの延伸化【札幌までの延伸化が楽しみである】）及びエントロピー問題（環境問題）をさらに考えていきたい。参考文献［1］ 19The calculation of 2-loop self-energy diagrams  by the sector decompositionKATO KiyoshiAbstract　Detailed description of the calculation of the 2-loop self-energy for a scalar particle is presented. By employing a simple sector decomposition method, the ultraviolet divergent part is efficiently separated from the finite part. The resulting expression can be used for both analytic and numerical computation to renormalize the divergence and to provide finite results for physics.1　IntroductionThe importance of radiative corrections is well recognized in high-energy physics. First of all, to study high-precision data, analyses beyond the leading order are essential. Also it may be possible to detect the presence of as yet undiscovered particles which might appear in a loop diagram. In the electro-weak theory, various mass parameters appear in the computation, making it indispensable to develop methods that deal with multi-loop integrals for massive particles. The sector decomposition （SD） method is well-established for calculating loop integrals.1,2,3,4,5,6,7） We have employed the SD method in a simple form and applied it to 3-loop integrals.8） Once the formula is ready, we can compute it numerically using non-adaptive or adaptive integration with transformations and/or extrapolation.9,10,11） In the loop integral, two types of singular behavior appear, i.e., the  ultraviolet （UV） divergence and the singularity related to the threshold.  To manage this, we use a double ex-trapolation technique and have already shown some results for the 2-loop and for the 3-loop order.12,13） In this paper, detailed formulae are presented for the calculation of 2-loop integrals with non-trivial numerators. The target process is the 2-loop self-energy diagrams for a scalar particle, especially for the study of the Higgs particle.14,15,16,17,18） The formalism can be applied to a fermion or a vector particle when appropriate form factors are introduced.工学院大学研究論叢　第 62 − 2 号20 We study the 2-loop integral with N-propagatorswhere [d ] = d n /（i（ ）n）, Dj = p2j−m2j is the inverse propagator of the j-th line,  and 2 are the loop momenta and  is the numerator. Here n is the space-time dimension and n = 4−2ε. We use the dimensional regularization where the UV divergence appears as the inverse-power of ε. In the standard model（SM）, we have 3- and 4-particle vertices. The one-particle irreducible diagrams of a scalar particle for self-energy diagrams （S1～S8） and tadpole diagrams （T1～T3） are shown in Fig.1. In the figure, the number j indicates that the mass of the propagator is mj and the assigned Feynman parameter is xj . S3a and S3b are the symmetric pair and we only consider S3a, referring to it as S3 hereafter. Here, P  is the momentum entering the self-energy, and we denote s = P 2. Diagrams S6, S7, S8 and T3 are expressed as the product of two 1-loop contributions. Since 4-particle vertices in SM are independent of momentum, S5 is treated as S3 at s = 0. Similarly, T1 and T2 can be calculated using S3 and S4 at s = 0, respectively. Thus, in this paper, we mainly concentrate our attention on S1, S2, S3 and S4.Figure 1　One-particle-irreducible 2-loop self-energy diagrams and tadpole diagramsThe calculation of 2-loop self-energy diagrams by the sector decomposition 212　Scalar integralIn this section, the components to calculate the loop integrals in Fig.1 are shown and the strategy to use the SD method is presented. Here, we study the loop-integral whose numerator  is 1, and that with non-trivial numerator is treated in the next section. Based on the Nakanishi-Kinoshita-Cvitanović formula,19, 20） the integral is given bywhere U and W functions are given in the following, and ρ  is an infinitesimal positive number. The derivation of above formulae is described in the Appendix A. Here, the notation xjk... = xj + xk + · · · is used.We perform the variable transformation. The integral in Eq.（4） can be calculated using the components presented so far. We introduce the SD for the improved treatment of the integral. There are 6（= 3!） sectors. The label of a sector, ’k, l,  m’, is a permutation of 1, 2, 3. In each sector, the variables sk, tl and um are defined aswhere 0 ≤ tl ≤ 1, 0 ≤ um ≤ 1. Then We define f and q in the following formulae. Since U is complete, f is the same in all sectors. The q in each sector is calculated from W in Eq.（7）.where xj/sk in  is written by tl, um, w’s and z. We obtain the formula to compute the loop integral for these diagrams. The UV divergence comes both from the Gamma function in Eq.（2） for N < 5 and from the integral by Feynman parameter. The UV divergence originating in the integral of Eq.（17） is clear since the divergent factor in t-integral is explicitly shown. The singular factor is squeezed out from U to leave the non-singular f function and this is the important property of the SD. The separation of the UV singularity is done as shown in the Appendix of Ref.8）. Since in S1 h always has a factor t, I（klm） has no UV divergence. We calculate I in Eq.（2） up to finite term, so that the expansion in ε is to be done : ・For S1, O（1） term of I is to be calculated. ・For S2, O（ε−1） and O（1） terms of I are to be calculated. ・For S3 and S4, O（ε−1）, O（1） and O（ε） terms of I are to be calculated. The explicit form of the expansion is shown in Appendix D. When we assume that the scalar is Higgs particle, it couples to two particles of same masses if we consider the gauge in which the mass of Goldstone boson is the same as that of the corresponding gauge boson. Also in S2, z does not appear in the integrand.3　Integral with the numeratorIn this section, we study the loop-integral whose numerator  is dependent on the loop momenta. We assume that in the numerator there is no term in which the sum of the degree of 1 and that of 2 is greater than 4. Though the assignment is arbitrary, one must fix the flow of loop momenta and external momentum to determine the coefficients for a given diagram. They are given in Appendix A asWhen we use the expression in Eq.（19）, except for the S4 which needs no e1 nor e2, t in the denominator is canceled by the same factor in the numerator, so that e1 and e2 are regular at t = 0. The numerator structure is studied in Appendix B. ・F0 has no α, β, γ. ・F2 is expanded by α, β, γ. ・F4 is expanded by α2, β 2, γ 2, αβ, αγ, βγ. Then gF2 and g2F4 are just F2 and F4 after replacing α, β,  γ  by gα,  gβ, gγ. The latter, gα,  gβ,  gγ, are α,  β,  γ  in Eq.（19） after replacing yj by ηj. For each diagram, the factor t is counted using Eq.（19） as follows. We use the notation A ～  tr   when r is the minimum number of factor t in A  among all sectors. ・S1 　 In this diagram, h  ～  t1. And hα, hβ ～ t1, hγ ～ t2, hα2, hβ2 ～ t1, hγ2, hαβ, hαγ, hβγ ～ t2. Since 1 and 2 flow along semicircles in the diagram, neither f16（has β2） nor f18（has α2） appears in F4. By using the SD method, the ultraviolet divergence is under control. The results can be expressed as a series in ε. While a few leading terms of the series can be obtained analytically, complete computation must be done numerically. In the numerical computation, there are two approaches. One way is to expand the formula symbolically in ε  and integrate each term numerically. Another way is to compute the formula, including ε, numerically for several values of ε, and to estimate the coefficients of the ε-series by extrapolation or using a linear solver. Both methods have been tested and have shown good results in our preceding research.8, 12, 13） The work presented here shall be useful for the further study of the electro-weak theory as the radiative correction in the 2-loop level.Acknowledgement The author acknowledges Dr. F.
