Transition of Ability Development Subjects in The Vocational Training Instructor Training at Polytechnic University
The vocational instructor training curriculum at Polytechnic University in Japan was classified into three periods until 2000: the first period (demand response period), the second period (curriculum continuation and low demand period), and the third period (response period to advanced and diversified tasks). In this study, I revealed the characteristics of the curriculum after 2000 by comparing it with the curriculum before 2000. As a result, I clarified that the vocational instructor training curriculum after 2000 can be classified into the fourth period before and after (a period of enhancement of instructor response to diversified tasks) and the fifth period (a period of adjustment of instructor training system).journal articl
Essential Attributes for Field-Based Supervisors in Vocational Rehabilitation Settings
This study investigated the attributes essential to field-based supervisors in vocational rehabilitation settings (VR). A three-step Delphi method was conducted with a group of six VR supervisors and seven VR researchers. In the first step, 63 items related to knowledge, skills, and attitude were extracted from a larger set of 157 free descriptions. Following an evaluation process in the second and third stages, all items were judged to be highly important. Many of the attributes thus identified pertained to the supportive and educational functions of VR supervision, e.g., practical knowledge and skills, promoting acceptance and awareness of supervisees, and attitudes that encourage supervisees’ autonomy.journal articl
The "Lived Experience" of Autonomous Career Development : From an Analysis of a Life Story Based on Dialogical Constructionism
This study clarified the "ived experience" of autonomous career development by analyzing the life story of the worker who migrated from Japan to the United States based on dialogical constructionism. The worker chose work styles and jobs that fit her circumstances as rational choices and strategies guaranteed by the social context (norms and common sense) in the U.S. and achieved autonomous career development, which means the stability of life and realization of the life she wants. The findings of this study force us to reconsider the measures to achieve autonomous career development in Japan. In other words, to realize autonomous career development in Japan, it is essential not only to support the proactive efforts of individual workers but also to update the social context by deconstructing and reconstructing the norms and common sense of Japanese society.journal articl
A New Quantitative Skill Evaluation Method Based on Nervous System Activities during Performance of Milling Work
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the workers' skill levels quantitatively by biological measurement during performance of milling work. We evaluated the relationship between the workers' skill levels, the difficulty levels of the tasks, and the workers' nervous system activities, i.e., changes in oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin in prefrontal cortex as central nervous system activities and LF/HF as autonomic nervous system activities. Subjects were divided into two groups, i.e., an expert group and an intermediate subject group. As a result, it was shown that there is a certain relationship between workers' skill levels, the difficulty level of the tasks and nervous system activities. In conclusion, there is a possibility that changes in nervous system activities can evaluate the workers' milling skill level quantitatively.journal articl
【論文】工学実験・実習における効果的な自作動画教材の作成留意点と使用効果
There are many problems for teachers and learners. The teachers often provide unstable education quality, and the
learners’ understanding varies. Then, we recommend the self-made training movies to solve the problem and reduce
the teachers’ task. In this research, the advantages and the attentions of self-made training movies for engineering
experiment and practice are explained, and the effectiveness of movies is investigated.journal articl
【論文】鋼構造用高力ボルトの金属微細組織および機械的強度に対する熱履歴の影響
In this work, tightening axial force, Vickers hardness and microstructure of torshear-type high strength bolts heattreated
in various conditions were studied. As a result, it was found that the bolts heated at up to 673K did not show
a significant decrease in tightening force and Vickers hardness and the bolts heat-treated at the temperature higher
than 673K did. This is because the tempering temperature for the bolts after quenching in manufacturing process is
close to 673K. However, the bolts heated at 1073K and subsequently water-quenched showed a significant increase
in Vickers hardness due to the formation of martensite phase by quenching from austenite phase. Moreover, the slip
factors of friction-type high strength bolted joints with pre-heated bolts were studied. As a result, it was found that
the slip factors almost kept constant when using the bolts heated at up to 673K, but the factors fell below 0.5 when
using the bolts heated at 773K and 873K.journal articl
