Some Results on Related Fixed Point Theorems in Two S-Metric Spaces
In this study, by considering the technique in the theorem of Bollenbacher and Hicks, we obtain some related fixed point theorems involving two mappings on two related complete -metric spaces with certain conditions. As the applications of the main theorem, we then derive some new related fixed point theorems involving a pair of mappings in such spaces. We finally discuss the need for further research

Yüksek LisansBu çalışmada, araştırma alanı Tekirdağ ili Saray ilçesi köyleri olarak seçilmekle birlikte ilgili bölgeye ait geçiş dönemleri, törenler, halk giyimi ve mutfağı, oyunlar ve çeşitli halk inanışlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İnceleme metodu olarak sahada görüşme ve gözlemleri içeren derleme metodu kullanılmıştır. Çalışma toplamda giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde araştırma alanı hakkında genel bilgi verilmiştir. Araştırmanın konusu, önemi, sınırlılıkları, amacı ve yöntemi hakkında temel bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde araştırma alanın tanıtılması ana başlık altında Saray ilçesinin tarihçesi, Saray ilçesinin coğrafi ve ekonomik özellikleri, Saray ilçesinin demografik yapısı ve Saray ilçesinin köyleri alt başlık olarak verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde insan hayatının önemli geçiş dönemleri olan doğum, evlilik ve ölüm ana başlıkları verilmiştir. Bu bölümde ayrıca alt başlıklar incelenmiş ve alt başlıklara ait âdet, ritüel, uygulama ve inanışları hakkında gerekli bilgiler verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde halk bilgisi içeriği törenler, halk inanışları, halk giyimi, oyunlar ve halk mutfağı yer almaktadır. Bu bölümde ilgili ana başlık ve alt başlıklar oluşturularak kaynak kişilerle yapılmış olan derlemelerde yer alan halk kültürüne dair çeşitli uygulama ve inanışlar verilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde tezin şimdiye kadar verilmiş olan bölümlerinde yer alan derlemelerle ilgili genel değerlendirme yapılarak öne çıkan bazı hususlara yer verilmiştir. Çalışma esnasında yazılı, sözlü, elektronik kaynaklar kaynakçada belirtilmiştir. Araştırma alanında bilgi aktarımını gerçekleştiren kaynak kişiler hakkında bilgilere ise kaynakçadan sonra yer verilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Saray ilçesi, geçiş törenleri, halk bilgisiIn this study, the research area was chosen as the villages of Saray district of Tekirdag province, and it was aimed to examine the transition periods, ceremonies, folk clothing and cuisine, games and various folk beliefs of the relevant region from a folkloric perspective. The compilation method, which includes interviews and observations in the field, was used as the review method. The study consists of an introduction and three chapters in total. In the introduction section, general information about the research field is given. Basic information is given about the subject, importance, limitations, purpose and method of the research. In the first part, the introduction of the research area is given under the main heading, the history of Saray district, the geographical and economic characteristics of Saray district, the demographic structure of Saray district and the villages of Saray district are given as subheadings. In the second part, the main headings of birth, marriage and death, which are important transition periods in human life, are given. In this section, the subheadings were also examined and necessary information was given about the customs, rituals, practices and beliefs of the subheadings. In the third section, folk knowledge content includes ceremonies, folk beliefs, folk clothing, games and folk cuisine. In this section, relevant main headings and subheadings are created and various practices and beliefs about folk culture included in the compilations made by source people are given. In the conclusion section, a general evaluation of the compilations in the sections of the thesis given so far is made and some prominent issues are included. During the study, written, oral and electronic sources are stated in the bibliography. The Phenotypic Spectrum of Desanto-Shinawi Syndrome: A Comparative Report of the First Reported Case in Turkey
DeSanto-Shinawi syndrome (DESSH, OMIM #616708) is a rare genetic disorder caused by pathogenic variants in the WAC gene. This syndrome is characterized by a wide range of physical and neurological symptoms including dysmorphic features, developmental delay, intellectual disability, and behavioral abnormalities. DESSH was described by DeSanto in 2015, and since then, only a few dozen cases have been reported worldwide. Recent research has focused on identifying the underlying genetic cause of the syndrome as well as exploring potential treatments. In this report, we describe a female case who had dysmorphic features including long palpebral fissures, depressed nasal root, mild bulbous nasal tip, thin upper lip, hypertrichosis, short fingers, and intellectual disability, speech delay, and motor retardation. In addition, she had behavioral abnormalities such as agitation, anxiety, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Clinical exome sequencing showed a pathogenic heterozygous nonsense variant in exon 13 of the WAC gene c.1837C>T, p.(Arg613Ter) with de novo inheritance. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of DESSH reported from Turkey. We aimed to report this rare syndrome and compare the clinical findings of our case with previously reported cases in the literature
A Hybrid Multistage Model Based on YOLO and Modified Inception Network for Rice Leaf Disease Analysis
Lack or excess of water, moisture, and nutrients may cause diseases in various growing stages of rice. Unlike related studies, this work aims to detect each disease's symptom separately, rather than just classifying images by a classifier or showing the whole diseased leaf in a single bounding box. In this way, we consider all disease regions and make it possible to observe better the disease progression by considering detected boxes. Our motivation for this hybrid study stems from the fact that more than one disease symptom may occur on a leaf and the detection of symptoms at an early stage can positively affect the harvest yield. The main aim of this study is to classify rice leaf disease images accurately, reduce false detections, and validate the predictions of the classification network utilizing an object detection network. Therefore, we identify two stages for this work. In the first part, the task of classification, and in the second part, the task of determining the location of the disease symptoms is conducted. We use data augmentation and disout techniques to prevent overfitting in the classification process and to improve performance by modifying the classification network. Finally, we discuss how classification robustness can be tested and false predictions can be eliminated using the classification network Inception v3 and the detection network YOLOv5x jointly. As a result of the proposed hybrid model, state-of-the-art results are achieved with 96.67 % accuracy and 98.24 % F1 score on the publicly available rice leaf disease dataset
Devshirme mosques of Bursa province
Yüksek LisansAvrupa ve Asya'nın kesişim noktalarından birinde bulunan Bursa, konumu sebebiyle ticaretin geliştiği bir yer olmuş, bu durum farklı kültürlerin etkin olmasına ve oluşmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Ayrıca tarih öncesinden günümüze gelene değin pek çok kültüre ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Bu uygarlıklar içerisinde mimari faaliyetlerin en yoğun olduğu dönem Doğu Roma (Bizans) ve Osmanlı dönemleri olmuştur. Çalışmada, Doğu Roma kiliselerinden Osmanlı devrinde camiye dönüştürülen dört adet yapı tespit edilmiştir. Yapıların içerisinde günümüzde en iyi durumda olanı Fatih Cami'dir. Bu çalışmada; söz konusu devşirme camilerin tarihi gelişimi, plan, mimari, malzeme ve süsleme bakımından incelenerek günümüzdeki son durumu araştırılmış ve çeşitli kaynaklardan edinilen bilgiler doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiştir. It has also been home to many cultures from prehistory to the present day. Among these civilizations, the most intense period of architectural activities was the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) and Ottoman periods. In the study, four buildings converted from Eastern Roman churches into mosques during the Ottoman period were identified. The one in the best condition today is the Fatih Mosque. In this study, the historical development, plan, architecture, materials and ornamentation of the aforementioned spolia mosques were analyzed and their current status was investigated and evaluated in line with the information obtained from various sources. Understanding Artificial Intelligence and Applications in Oncology: Narrative Review
There is a rapid progression of information technologies in healthcare. One of the cornerstones of the process is AI, which uses a combination of multiple technologies in modern healthcare applications and has both administrative and clinical aspects. AI assists in the field of medicine by modifying the existing disease prevention procedures, diagnosis, treatment, drug development, clinical care, and other healthcare services; moreover, it is a promising modality in almost every field. In contrast, ethical issues such as accountability, personal data protection, patient safety, application bias, and trust issues are still debatable as they have not been fully addressed by AI. These discussions are based on the inadequacy of existing procedures, standards, and ethical rules for the ever-evolving AI technologies. Additionally, AI should be most intensively used for patients with oncologyand oncological applications. Thus, this article aimed to provide deep insights for a sim-ple understanding of AI for oncologists. © 2024 by Turkish Society of Medical Oncology
Validity and reliability study of the Mediterranean Lifestyle Index: Turkish adaptation
Objective: The Mediterranean Lifestyle Index (MEDLIFE) differs from similar scales in that it concurrently includes diet and lifestyle. The current study translated MEDLIFE into Turkish, and assessed its reliability and validity. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 300 individuals 19-65 years of age. The questionnaire was subsequently re-administered to 87 research participants. The questionnaire, asking for general information, MEDLIFE, and information regarding anthropometric measurements, was sent to the users of an online platform. The scale was converted into the applicable Turkish form by an expert group. Test-retest reliability was evaluated with the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). In addition, kappa coefficients (k) and Bland -Altman graphs were determined for each item to assess reliability. Results: The mean scores before and after were 14.5 +/- 3.68 and 14.3 +/- 3.81, respectively, and the intercorrelation coefficient r was 0.817 for test -re -test reliability. Conclusion: The validity and reliability of the scale in the Turkish language was confirmed. This study is the first to translate MEDLIFE into another language and may aid in assessing the scale's adaptability to other languages. Investigation of synergistic effects of Microcystis aeruginosa (Kützing) kützing 1846 metabolites with different antibiotic combinations
Yüksek LisansBu çalışma kapsamında, farklı antibiyotiklerinin bir siyanobakteri türü olan Microcystis aeruginosa'nın metabolitleri ile meydana gelecek sinerjistik etkilerini tespit etmek amacıyla laboratuvar ortamında araştırmalar ve denemeler yapılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, kültür gelişimine bağlı olarak M. aeruginosa'nın üssel üreme fazına 42. günde geçtiği tespit edilmiş ve deneyler kültür gelişimine göre planlanmıştır. 45, 60 ve 90 günlük kültürlerden ekstraktlar hazırlanıştır. Elde edilen ekstrakların antimikrobiyal etkinliklerini belirlemek için antimikrobiyal aktivite çalışmaları ve sinerji testleri yapılarak Minimum İnhibisyon Konsantrasyonu (MİK) değerleri tespit edilmiştir. Antimikrobiyal aktivite testleri, Klinik ve Laboratuvar Standartları Enstitüsünün CLSI M100-S28 ve M27-A3 önerileri doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 ve Candida albicans ATCC 10231 standart suşları kullanılmıştır. Deney sonuçlarına göre 45 günlük kültür ekstreleri arasında Gram negatif bakterilerde bir fark gözlenmezken Gram pozitif bakterilerde aktivite derecesinde fark gözlenmiştir. Dama tahtası yöntemiyle yapılan sinerji testlerinde ise 60 günlük kültür ektresi ile gentamisin kombinasyonunda P. aeruginosa üzerine aditif etki bulunmuş ve MİK değerinde 3 kat azalma tespit edilmiştir.Aim of the study, laboratory investigations and experiments were conducted to detect the synergistic effects of different antibiotics with the metabolites of Microcystis aeruginosa, a cyanobacterial species. In line with this objective, it was determined that M. aeruginosa entered the exponential growth phase on the 42nd day, and experiments were planned according to the culture development. Extracts were prepared from cultures aged 45, 60, and 90 days. Antimicrobial activity studies and synergy tests were conducted to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) values of the obtained extracts. Antimicrobial activity tests were performed according to the recommendations of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) M100-S28 and M27-A3. Standard strains used included Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, and Candida albicans ATCC 10231. According to the experimental results, no significant difference was observed among the 45-day culture extracts against Gram-negative bacteria, while variations in activity levels were observed against Gram-positive bacteria. Synergy tests conducted using the checkerboard method revealed an additive effect on P. aeruginosa with the combination of the 60-day culture extract and gentamicin, with a threefold decrease in the MIC value
Investigation of the formation of phenanthrene and dihydrophenanthrene derivative natural compounds by metathesis method
DoktoraFenantren ve dihidrofenantren türevi bileşikler, çeşitli bitkilerde ve Red algae gibi deniz bitkilerinde oldukça nadir görülen aromatik bir metabolit sınıfıdır. Bitkisel kaynaklardan, farklı sübstitüe edilmiş çok sayıda fenantren elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca gösterdikleri biyolojik aktivitelerinden dolayı, ilaç kimyası başta olmak üzere kimyanın birçok alanında büyük ilgi görmektedirler. Fenantren ve dihidrofenantren türevi bileşiklerin sentezi ve sentez basamaklarındaki problemler, organik kimyacıları bu konuda yeni sentez yöntemleri geliştirmeye teşvik etmektedir. Genellikle, bu sentez yöntemleri, küçük moleküllerin halkalaşması ve kenetlenmesi üzerine çoklu reaksiyon basamaklarını içermektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı çeşitli fenantren ve dihidrofenantren türevi doğal bileşiklerin sentezinde metatesis yönteminin kullanılabilirliğinin incelenmesi ve çoklu reaksiyon basamaklarında bulunan problemlerin giderilmesine katkı sağlayacak yöntemlerin incelenmesi ve yöntem basamaklarının önerilmesi olacaktır.Phenanthrenes and dihydrophenanthrene derivatives are a rare class of aromatic metabolites found in various plants and marine plants such as Red Algae. Numerous substituted phenanthrenes have been obtained from botanical sources. Additionally, their biological activities have garnered significant interest in pharmaceutical and other areas of chemistry. The synthesise of phenanthrenes and dihydrophenanthrene derivatives and the challenges encountered in the synthetic steps encourage organic chemists to develop new synthesise methods in this field. Generally, these synthesise methods involve multiple steps, focusing on the cyclization and coupling of small molecules. The aim of this study is to investigate the applicability of the metathesis in the synthesise of various natural compounds derived from phenanthrenes and dihydrophenanthrenes.
