    Influence of Information and Service Quality on Users' Continuous Use of Mobile Libraries in China

    This research mainly aims to explore the factors that influence users' continuous use of mobile libraries. The findings of this study will provide empirical evidence to help improve the service and information quality of mobile libraries. Moreover, suggestions for optimization are provided with the objective of meeting user demands at its maximum. A theoretical model is constructed to reveal the impact of 11 influencing factors on users' continuous use of mobile libraries. Structural equation modeling is adopted to verify the theoretical model and research hypothesis based on the valid data obtained from a questionnaire survey. The study found that personalized services and information availability have positive impacts on the service quality of mobile libraries. Moreover, perceived mobility and information quality have positive impacts on the perceived usability of mobile libraries. Finally, perceived usability, service quality, and platform stability have significantly positive impacts on the willingness of users to continue usage of mobile libraries

    Smart Tourism Empowered by Artificial Intelligence: The Case of Lanzarote

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the rules of the game in many industries. This case details how the combination of open innovation and artificial intelligence generates new opportunities in the tourism sector. Specifically, how to create new customer experiences through searching tools, social platforms and cognitive interfaces to make intelligent decisions. The authors show that it is possible to increase tourist satisfaction by offering a set of customized activities and experiences according to their personal characteristics and motivations. The combination of cutting-edge digital technologies makes it possible to design new services in an automated and cost-affordable manner. The experience has been carried out in Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain), with support of IBM's Watson system. This is a good example of AI-fueled innovation in services, which is adequate for courses on innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and competitive strategy

    Speed of Use of Social Media as an Antecedent of Speed of Business Internationalization

    Despite various advances in international business and entrepreneurship literatures and increasing interest in speed of internationalization mainly among international entrepreneurship scholars, the relationship between the use of social media and the internationalization speed of the firm remains poorly investigated. This article presents the reflective construct “speed of use of social media” and proves its positive effect on the third order formative construct “speed of internationalization.” Furthermore, using multi-group analysis, the article demonstrates that this effect is moderated by the industry where the company performs (business-to-customer vs. business-to-business) and its export intensity, but not by the size of the firm. The results obtained open an interesting area for further research in the role of Web 2.0 and social networking in future knowledge management systems of international new ventures companies

    The Liaoning Provincial Library is one of the largest and most well-functional libraries. It has the largest building area and provides abundant services to the public. The Liaoning Provincial Library mainly provides readers with reading, learning, activities, innovative space services, offers creative spaces, studios, and other service spaces. In the past two years, over 4 million visited the library, and the library has held more than 2,500 activities, and has gained new experience in areas such as service philosophies, service contents, service strategies, and service guarantees. In the future, the authors still need to figure out how to integrate the interactions of multi-space usages inside and outside the library, how to express and transmit the multiple attributes and innovative areas of the public library, how to balance between organizational functions and government functions, and how to achieve the function of creative incubation using thinking and exploration practices

    Multi-Objective Optimization Methods for Transportation Network Problems: Definition, Taxonomy, and Annotation

    This article recapitulates literature research solving transportation problems and these variants, notably the multimodal transportation problems variants. Moreover, the existing optimization methods critiqued and synthesized their efficiency to solve the transportation problem. This problem can be identified by various criteria and objectives functions that distinguished according to the case study. Based on the existing literature research, a taxonomy is proposed to distinguish different factors and criteria that perform and influence the multi-objective optimization on the transportation network planning problems. The transportation problems are cited according to these objective functions, and the variant of the problem by referring to the previous studies. In this article, the authors have focused their attention on a recent multi-objective mathematical model to solve the planning network of the multimodal transportation problem

    Multi-Image Hiding Blind Robust RGB Steganography in Transform Domain

    Steganography is a widely-used technique for digital data hiding. Image steganography is the most popular among all other kinds of steganography. In this article, a novel key-based blind method for RGB image steganography where multiple images can be hidden simultaneously is described. The proposed method is based on Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transformation (DWT) which provides enhanced security as well as improve the quality of the stego. Here, the cover image has been taken as RGB although the method can be implemented on grayscale images as well. The fundamental concept of visual cryptography has been utilized here in order to increase the capacity to a great extent. To make the method more robust and imperceptible, pseudo-random number sequence and a correlation coefficient have been used for embedding and the extraction of the secrets, respectively. The robustness of the method is tested against steganalysis attacks such as crop, rotate, resize, noise addition, and histogram equalization. The method has been applied on multiple sets of images and the quality of the resultant images have been analyzed through various matrices namely ‘Peak Signal to Noise Ratio,' ‘Structural Similarity index,' ‘Structural Content,' and ‘Maximum Difference.' The results obtained are very promising and have been compared with existing methods to prove its efficiency

    ENF Based Video Forgery Detection Algorithm

    The electric network frequency (ENF) is recorded in the videos taken under the lights powered by grid and can be used for digital forensics. However, due to the lack of data caused by the low frame rate of the video, the ENF-based forensics methods always need a reference signal extracted from the grid, which limits the practical application of these methods. In this article, a new ENF-based time domain video forgery detection algorithm is proposed to solve the problem of data lack. The cubic spline interpolation is used to generate suitable data points of the ENF signal, and the detection sequence generated based on the correlation coefficient between data points in adjacent periods is used to catch the phase continuity interruption of the ENF signal and detect the exact position of forgery. The proposed algorithm can be used independently without any reference signals. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has good performance in detecting forgery videos with varying degrees of deletion, duplication and insertion of frames

    Vocal Acoustic Analysis: ANN Versos SVM in Classification of Dysphonic Voices and Vocal Cords Paralysis

    Vocal acoustic analysis is becoming a useful tool for the classification and recognition of laryngological pathologies. This technique enables a non-invasive and low-cost assessment of voice disorders, allowing a more efficient, fast, and objective diagnosis. In this work, ANN and SVM were experimented on to classify between dysphonic/control and vocal cord paralysis/control. A vector was made up of 4 jitter parameters, 4 shimmer parameters, and a harmonic to noise ratio (HNR), determined from 3 different vowels at 3 different tones, with a total of 81 features. Variable selection and dimension reduction techniques such as hierarchical clustering, multilinear regression analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) was applied. The classification between dysphonic and control was made with an accuracy of 100% for female and male groups with ANN and SVM. For the classification between vocal cords paralysis and control an accuracy of 78,9% was achieved for female group with SVM, and 81,8% for the male group with ANN

    Media Selection in Knowledge Transfer: A Decision Model

    Managing knowledge transfer is a complex issue: when firms attempt to accelerate knowledge transfer at a rational cost, there is often a byproduct of knowledge spillover which harms the firms' competitive advantages. As the channel of knowledge transfer, media play a vital role for the success of knowledge transfer. However, the extant literature offers neither comprehensive framework nor a decision method to guide firms' media selection in knowledge transfer. This article develops a framework of media selection from the perspectives of performance, cost, and risk of knowledge spillover, and proposes a decision model of media selection in knowledge transfer based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Finally, this article applies the model to a case study to verify its effectiveness in practice. The framework is helpful to guide firms' media selection, and the decision model is valuable to facilitate firms' media selection in big knowledge transfer projects
