Highlights of International Conference on Computer Vision and Robotic (ICCVR)
IRNet-Conference Highlights -- -- August, 21st-22nd 2010
The conference was inaugurated at 9.30 AM in the Pratap Darbar (Hotel Presidency), Bhubaneswar. The dignitaries presented are Prof. Gouranga Bose, ITER Our Chairman Prof. Srikanta Patnaik, and Prof. Bhagbat Nath Dean (Academic), Interscience Institute of Management & Technology, Bhubaneswar. Prof Bose shouldered the task of Key note address. Two research scholars from abroad participated at the conference. Mr. Vikranasinghe from Srilanka and Mr. Alpsan Altun from Turkey travelled a long way to attend the conference. Prof. N. K. Kamila, Prof. Rachita Mishra, Prof. B.K. Nanda joined as the session chairs in the conference. Prof. Berjeev Tyagi from IIT Roorkee attended a session as the session chair. Students from various parts of the country like NIT Durgapur, IIT Roorkee, NIT Trichy, and JNU, Delhi participated in the conference. In the second day Valedictory session was followed by a site seeing in the city of Bhubaneswar. Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI 53211, USA Prof. Rabi Narayan Mohapatra, Dept of Computer Science, Texas A&M University, USA, Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Ranjan, Professor (IT Area), IMT Ghaziabad, Our Chairman Prof. Srikanta Patnaik,, and Prof. Sushanta Moharana, Dean (Academic) Interscience Institute of Management & Technology, Bhubaneswar. Prof. Rabi Narayan Mohapatra, Dept of Computer Science, Texas A&M University, USA delivered his Key note address on ‘Semantic Technology for a new Generation Internet’. On the First Day, there was two technical session and ended up with an Industry interface at 5.30 PM. In the industry interface, Mr. P.K. Nag, Vice President, Business Development at Telcordia, India delivered his address on “Market Differentiation for Hyper-Competitive Markets” followed by Mr. A. K. Panda, GM, OCAC delivering on E-Governance initiative and finally by Mr. Srijat Mishra, CEO, Kalinga Soft delivering his address on ERP for the Small Enterprises and Educational institutions. First day was ended up with a discussion for organization of the second international conference of ICT. One the Second day Prof. Peter D’Agostino, Temple University, Philadelphia has delivered a beautiful talk on “World–wide walks on the web between earth & sky : temples” followed by Prof. Atish P.Sinha, Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwuakee,USA on the topic “Analyzing the Helpfulness of Online Customer Reviews Using Episodic Concept Scripts”. Prof. N. P. Mahalik, University of California delivered his address on “ICT for Agriculture Application”. The Plenary session was conducted on the second day before launch. Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI 53211, USA delivered a talk on “SES Architecture for Real Time Enterprises“& Prof. Prasanta Mohapatra, Professor and Chair, Department of Computer Science, University of California, USA delivered a talk on “Advances in Wireless Mesh Networks” in the Plenary session. Prof. Ganapati Panda, Deputy Director, IIT, Bhubaneswar chaired the plenary session. At the end the valedictory session was conducted where the participants were distributed with the certificates. Highlight of International Conference on “Entrepreneurship Retention”
International Conference on “Entrepreneurship Retention” was a dream project carried out by IRNet family to address the constraints faced by the new age entrepreneurs pertaining to affairs of legislation and management. Around 30 papers were received and after scrutiny 11 papers were forwarded for proceedings. Participants have attended from various parts of this country. From left Prof.Somodeep Sarkar (University of Erora), Prof.Ajay Kumar Garg (Toshwane University of Technology, South Africa ) joined as the Dignitaries and magnified the concept of Entrepreneurship.
