The Influence of Price, Brand Image and Word of Mouth on Parents' Decision to Send Their Children to MIS Al Ikhwah Pontianak
Education is a process that not only transfers knowledge, but also forms individual character to live personal and social life. Elementary schools, including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), are an important foundation in the process of children's basic education. As public awareness of the quality of education increases, competition between schools, especially private MI in Pontianak City, is getting tighter. One of the private MIs that continues to innovate in increasing its attractiveness is MIS Al Ikhwah Pontianak. This school not only excels in academic and non-academic achievements, but also has a superior Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program, complete facilities, and a parallel class system. This study aims to analyze the influence of Price, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth on Parents' Decisions in choosing MIS Al Ikhwah as a place for children's education. The method used is associative research with a quantitative approach. Data were obtained through questionnaires to parents of students and interviews with the principal. The results of the study showed that the three independent variables (Price, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth) simultaneously and partially had a positive and significant effect on Parents' Decisions. The regression equation obtained is Y = 0.081 + 0.315X1 + 0.390X2 + 0.268X3 with an R² value of 0.835, which means that 83.5% of the variation in parental decisions is explained by the three variables. This shows the importance of school image and community perception in influencing children's educational choice
The Effect of Project-Based Learning Strategy (PJBL) and Learning Environment on Students' Learning Interests at SMKN 1 Boalemo n The Course of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship (PKK)
This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based learning strategies (PjBL) and learning environments on students' learning interests in Creative Products and Entrepreneurship (PKK) subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Boalemo. The background of this study is based on the low interest in learning of students, which is indicated by the high level of absenteeism, low enthusiasm, and learning outcomes that have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), especially in the Computer and Network Engineering and Telecommunications departments. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The study population was all students in grades XI and XII with a sample of 77 students taken randomly (random sampling). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests to determine the simultaneous and partial effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that simultaneously, project-based learning strategies (X1) and learning environments (X2) had a significant effect on students' learning interests (Y), with an Adjusted R² value of 0.984. This means that 98.4% of the variation in students' learning interest can be explained by these two variables. Partially, the learning environment has a more dominant influence with a contribution of 81% (β = 0.810), while the project-based learning strategy contributes 18.57% (β = 0.185). The regression equation obtained is: Ŷ = -94.361 + 0.365X₁ + 1.265X₂. Thus, it can be concluded that both the project-based learning strategy and the learning environment have an important role in increasing students' learning interest, with the learning environment as the most influential factor
Performance Management of State Civil Apparatus in Improving Licensing and Non-Licensing Services at The North Sulawesi Regional One-Door Investment and Integrated Service
: Licensing services are one form of public service that plays an important role in creating an investment climate and supporting regional economic growth. In this context, the performance management of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) plays a strategic role in ensuring the quality of professional, transparent, and accountable services. This study aims to analyze ASN performance management in improving licensing and non-licensing services at the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of North Sulawesi Province. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores ASN performance management practices based on Armstrong's (2006) framework which includes planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. The results of the study indicate that DPMPTSP has implemented the principle of customer-oriented performance management, as evidenced by increased public satisfaction and institutional recognition. However, a number of challenges are still faced, including weak cross-sector coordination, suboptimal digital infrastructure, and limited competency of ASN and OSS system users. Strengthening ASN capacity, harmonization of regulations, and ongoing digital transformation are needed to improve service effectiveness. This study provides theoretical contributions to the study of public sector performance management as well as practical recommendations for improving the performance of licensing service organizations in the region
The Influence of E-Attendance Application (SIMPEG TVRI) on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Employee Performance at LPP TVRI North Sulawesi
This study examines the impact of the mobile-based E-Attendance application (SIMPEG TVRI) on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and employee performance at LPP TVRI North Sulawesi. The research was motivated by frequent employee complaints regarding the application's technical performance and fairness, which were suspected to influence work outcomes. Using a quantitative approach and descriptive analysis, data were collected from 50 employees across various employment statuses and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS 4.1.1. The results indicate that the E-Attendance system has a significant positive influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, it does not directly affect employee performance. Job satisfaction was found to significantly influence performance but did not significantly affect organizational commitment. Meanwhile, organizational commitment emerged as the strongest predictor of employee performance. These findings suggest that while digital attendance systems improve administrative efficiency, their effectiveness depends on how they are perceived and supported within the organizational culture. The study fills an important gap in the literature by showing that digital tools in public institutions must be integrated with human-centered management strategies to achieve optimal outcomes. Technology should not be viewed as a standalone solution but as part of a broader performance and engagement ecosystem. It is recommended that organizations like TVRI provide training, system support, and recognition to maximize the benefits of digital HR systems. These efforts will enhance not only system functionality but also employee motivation and institutional commitment
Political and Humanitarian Commitment in the Poetry of Mahmoud Darwish
The research represents an endeavor to analyze "the literature of the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish" concerning the themes of political and humanitarian commitment in his poetry. It explores how the poet grappled with the tragedy of the Palestinian issue, wherein entire lives were transformed into a resistance and struggle for existence and identity against a usurping and deadly enemy that sought to subvert facts and camouflage matters. Through literature, Mahmoud Darwish sought to depict the plight of the Palestinian individual, the suffering endured, and the aspirations tied to the liberation of a land unjustly stolen. Darwish endeavored to articulate the dreams of refugees and displaced individuals, emphasizing the longing to return to their homeland, Palestine. For him, this return represented a dream that must be realized, as it serves as a guarantee for the survival of Palestine and the preservation of Palestinian self, existence, and identity. In pursuit of this objective, Mahmoud Darwish employed a variety of literary styles, employing the most apt words and structures with exceptional skill. His proficiency allowed him to resist occupation, thereby securing Palestine for its people and maintaining it as a haven of peace
Complaint Service Management at the Manado City Government Public Service Mall
The Public Service Mall (MPP) is a strategic innovation in the provision of integrated public services to improve efficiency, certainty, and ease of access to services for the public. However, its implementation in Manado City still faces various challenges, particularly in complaint service management. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of complaint management in the Manado City MPP using a qualitative approach and ten complaint management indicators according to Tjiptono, namely commitment, visibility, accessibility, simplicity, speed, fairness, confidentiality, recording, resources, and remedies. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from leadership elements, service implementers, and service users. The results of the study indicate that although policies and complaint facilities are available, their implementation has not been optimal due to gaps between policies and practices, weak socialization, limited human resources, and an unintegrated reporting system. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen operational commitment, develop digital systems, increase human resource capacity, and improve procedures and feedback mechanisms so that complaint management can become an effective evaluation tool in improving the quality of public services in the Manado City MPP
Performance of Employees of Kleak Sub-district Office Malalayang District Manado City
The purpose of this study was to evaluate Employee Performance at the Kleak Village Office, located in Malalayang District, Manado City. Quality, quantity, punctuality, effectiveness, independence, and work commitment, according to Robbins (2006), are six performance measures that are the focus of the study. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach, which collected data through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The village head, village staff, and the local community were the research informants. The results of the study showed that employee performance mostly fulfilled their duties and responsibilities. However, there were several obstacles, such as lack of discipline, inaccurate service time, and administrative procedures that were considered complicated by the community. The study also found practices that were not in accordance with public service ethics, such as relying on bribes to speed up the administrative process. Although the quality of service was considered quite good, more professionalism and efficiency were still needed. The dynamics of the number of people who need services every day affect the quantity of work. In terms of punctuality, there were complaints about the length of the service process for several types of documents. In addition, work productivity still needs to be improved, especially in terms of the use of existing facilities and human resources. This study suggests improving employee discipline, simplifying administrative procedures, better training, and tighter supervision to stop unethical actions. With these actions, it is expected that the performance of Kleak Village Office employees can be improved to provide better services to the community
Implementation of the Voting Committee Recruitment Policy in Modoinding District, South Minahasa Regency for the 2024 Election
This study aims to analyze the policy implementation of the recruitment of Voting Committee (PPS) in Modoinding District, South Minahasa Regency, during the 2024 Regional Election. The research employed a descriptive-qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The analytical framework refers to Merilee S. Grindle's implementation theory, focusing on two key variables: policy content and context of implementation. Findings indicate substantial challenges in implementation, particularly regarding digital literacy, technological access gaps, and the lack of context-based socialization. Moreover, the top-down nature of the recruitment policy has not adequately addressed the geographical and socio-cultural aspects of the local community. It is concluded that the recruitment policy lacks inclusivity and responsiveness, thus requiring a more adaptive and localized approach
Government Strategy in Increasing Human Development Index through Population Policy in Samarinda
It is a study of how the government of Samarinda incorporates population policy as an instrument to develop the Human Development Index (HDI) in the perspectives of enhancement in domain of education, health and income. In a qualitative descriptive design, the study explores how strategies relating to population are formulated, implemented and coordinated in different institutions. The data were gathered using in-depth interviews of the important actors, the analysis of documents of planning patterns, and the fieldwork observations at government offices and community health centers. The results indicate that in the findings, the population policy is no longer given as an independent demographic agenda, but as a part of the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of the city. Collaboration between agencies, especially their exchange of digital platforms, such as SIAK and SIPD, has enhanced the precision of planning as well as the delivery of services. Reproductive health and family planning initiatives have been central in saving maternal/ infants lives and ensuring more women access education and labor market. The programs have been improved by the effect of community participation through the help of local cadres and religious authorities which promotes awareness and the acceptance of the programs by the community. The study however finds out some of the persisting challenges such as gap in coordination, scarcity of human resource, and some aspects of resistance due to socio-cultural factors. Nevertheless, these obstacles do not discard the fact that, on the one hand, Samarinda has a driving case of localized policy innovation of enhancing HDI based on population governance. This paper can be used to support the already existing knowledge on subnational development strategies in Indonesia and serve as a guidance to other cities aiming to match their demographic policy to their human development agenda
Effectiveness of Food Security Program Policy in Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Food Security Program policy funded by Village Funds in Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency. The main focus of the study is on the understanding of the program by stakeholders and beneficiary communities. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with a case study method in three villages, namely Moodulio, Ilohuuwa, and Permata Villages. The assessment of program effectiveness refers to five main indicators according to Sutrisno's theory (2007): program understanding, target accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and real change. The results of the study indicate that the level of understanding of the program among village officials and implementers is relatively good, reflecting an understanding of the program's regulations and objectives. However, at the beneficiary community level, a significant gap in understanding was found. Many residents do not fully understand the program, some are even unaware that they are part of the program. This affects community participation in program implementation and hinders optimal achievement of goals. From these results, it is concluded that the effectiveness of the Food Security Program policy has not been fully achieved. It is necessary to strengthen the strategy of socialization, education, and more intensive and participatory assistance so that all parties have a harmonious understanding and involvement. Thus, the program can contribute more optimally in supporting food security and sustainable economic empowerment of rural communities
