    GENDER REPRESENTATION IN SPORTS: A PERSPECTIVE THROUGH INDIAN SPORTS FILMS

    Gender representation in sports is one of the main concerns in the present scenario. It is a fact is that gender inequality can be spotted in the very established sports arena also. The women sports players in India have to face many challenges to cross the borders of glory. Firstly, most of the family are conservative and their traditional way of thinking about women playing sports and they lack supports and encouragement from the family and society. From the government. The social taboo on women in participation in sports is still there in many parts of the country. And if she succeeds in the sports, the next steps maybe they have to face are gender inequalities and discriminations in the name of caste, creed, and sex. The Indian film industry is one of the largest cinema hubs in the world and the Indian film stars are renowned for the astounding performances in Indian films and foreign films.  Apart from the dominated Bollywood films, there are many regional language films also across the country such as Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi etc. Tamil film industry centered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu is India’s second-largest film industry in terms of films produced and distributed. The study titled “Gender representation in Sports: A Perspective through Indian Sports Films” aims at how gender and women are portrayed in Indian regional sports films aka Tamil films and how they act and survive the social stigma and stereotypes and succeed in their goal. Both films discuss the plights and problems facing women sports players while succeeding in their goal and pointing fingers towards the representation of women in society. The study also explores the representation of gender in films and women empowerment through sports. A mixed methodology is used for the study. Qualitative scene-by-scene analysis and quantitative content analysis with coding are applied. Structuralist Film Theory and Feminist Film Theory were used for the theoretical framework

    The film is one of the most popular sources of entertainment worldwide. Plentiful films are produced each year and the amount of spectators is also huge. Films are to be called as the mirror of society. Because they portray the actual reality of the society through the cinematography. Thus, cinema plays an essential role in shaping views about, caste, creed and gender. There are many pieces of research made on the representation of women or gender in films. But, through this research, the researcher wants to analyse in-depth about the character representation of women in the Malayalam film industry how strong the so-called Mollywood constructs the strongest and stoutest women characters in Malayalam cinema in the 21st-century cinema. The study titled “Feminism and Representation of Women Identities in Indian Cinema. A Case Study” confers how women are portrayed in the Malayalam cinema in the 21st century and how bold and beautiful are the women characters in Malayalam film industry are and how they act and survive the social stigma and stereotypes in their daily life. All sample films discuss the plights and problems facing women in contemporary society and pointing fingers towards the representation of women in society. The case study method is used as the sole Methodology for research. And Feminist Film theory and theory of patriarchy applied in the theoretical framework

    PROJETOS SOCIAIS E TERCEIRO SETOR: COMO AMBOS SUPREM A DEMANDA DO PODER PÚBLICO?

    The Third Sector has gained notoriety in recent times, being important for society, helping in the citizen construction of many people through its treatment of social issues for the constant improvement of a locality or region. However, there are few studies that seek to understand how this sector meets the demand of the public authorities. The purpose of this article is to analyze how social projects and the third sector meet the demand of the government. The qualitative and exploratory study, done through semi-structured interviews, in addition to content analysis. The results showed that such organizations partially supply the social demand that is destined for them, having wide areas of activity and their desire to be self-sufficient. The study contributed to the academy by exposing and bringing new results to Social Projects and Public Authorities.El Tercer Sector ha ganado notoriedad en los últimos tiempos, siendo importante para la sociedad, ayudando en la construcción ciudadana de muchas personas a través de su tratamiento de los temas sociales para la mejora constante de una localidad o región. Sin embargo, son pocos los estudios que buscan comprender cómo este sector atiende la demanda de las autoridades públicas. El propósito de este artículo es analizar cómo los proyectos sociales y el tercer sector satisfacen la demanda de los poderes públicos. Estudio cualitativo y exploratorio, realizado a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas, además de análisis de contenido. Los resultados mostraron que dichas organizaciones satisfacen parcialmente la demanda social que se les destina, teniendo amplias áreas de actividad y su afán de autosuficiencia. El estudio contribuyó a la academia exponiendo y aportando nuevos resultados a Proyectos Sociales y Autoridades Públicas.O Terceiro Setor ganhou notoriedade nos últimos tempos sendo importante para a sociedade, auxiliando na construção cidadã de muitas pessoas por meio de seu tratamento as questões sociais para a constante melhoria de uma localidade ou região. Porém, são poucos os estudos que buscam compreender de que forma esse setor supre a demanda que é de juízo do poder público. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar de que forma os projetos sociais e terceiro setor suprem a demanda do poder público. O estudo qualitativo e exploratório, feito por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, além da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados demonstraram que tais organizações suprem parcialmente a demanda social que é destinada a elas, tendo amplas áreas de atuação e seu desejo de serem autossuficientes. O estudo contribuiu com a academia ao expor e trazer novos resultados para Projetos Sociais e Poder Público

    A ESCUTA ESPECIALIZADA DE CRIANÇAS NO ÂMBITO DA JUSTIÇA: A IMPORTÂNCIA DA AUTONOMIA DO TRABALHO DO PSICÓLOGO

    The specialized listening of children in the scope of justice, as well as the importance of the psychologist's autonomy of work, are current issues that have gained a great advance in Brazilian legislation, due to Law 13.431/2017, which established a system of guarantees of rights of child and adolescent victims or witnesses of violence, and amended Law No. 8.079/1990 (Statute of Children and Adolescents – ECA). Regarding the autonomy of the legal psychologist, it was addressed, among other issues, Resolution No. 10/2010, which instituted the prohibition of the role of inquirer for the psychologist. However, the Federal Council of Psychology suspended the aforementioned Resolution for having caused several discussions at the national level. Thus, this bibliographical study aimed to analyze the autonomy of the psychologist's work in specialized listening to children in the context of justice, based on the understanding that the psychologist is a mediator and facilitator of the verbal expression of the child or adolescent victim of violence. Descriptive bibliographic research was chosen, whose analysis was qualitative, as it provides greater familiarity with the problem.La escucha especializada a los niños en el campo de la justicia, así como la importancia de la autonomía del trabajo del psicólogo, son temas de actualidad que han ganado un gran avance en la legislación brasileña, debido a la Ley 13.431 / 2017, que estableció un sistema de garantías de derechos de los niños, niñas y adolescentes víctimas o testigos de violencia, y modificó la Ley Nº 8.079 / 1990 (Estatuto de la Niñez y la Adolescencia - ECA). En cuanto a la autonomía del psicólogo legal, se discutió, entre otros temas, la Resolución No. 10/2010, que instituyó la prohibición del rol de investigador para el psicólogo. Sin embargo, el Consejo Federal de Psicología suspendió la mencionada Resolución por haber provocado varias discusiones a nivel nacional. Así, este estudio bibliográfico tuvo como objetivo analizar la autonomía del trabajo del psicólogo en la escucha especializada de los niños en el contexto de la justicia, a partir del entendimiento de que el psicólogo es un mediador y facilitador de la expresión verbal del niño, niña o adolescente víctima de violencia. Se eligió una investigación bibliográfica descriptiva, cuyo análisis fue cualitativo, ya que proporciona una mayor familiaridad con el problema.A escuta especializada de crianças no âmbito da justiça, bem como a importância da autonomia do trabalho do psicólogo, tratam-se de temáticas atuais que ganharam um grande avanço na legislação brasileira, devido a Lei 13.431/2017, que estabeleceu um sistema de garantias de direitos da criança e do adolescente vítimas ou testemunhas de violência, e alterou a Lei nº 8.079/1990 (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – ECA). Em relação à autonomia do psicólogo jurídico, tratou-se, dentre outras questões, sobre a Resolução nº 10/2010, que instituiu ao psicólogo a proibição do papel de inquiridor. Entretanto, o Conselho Federal de Psicologia suspendeu a referida Resolução por ter causado várias discussões a nível nacional. Sendo assim, o presente estudo bibliográfico teve o objetivo de analisar a autonomia do trabalho do psicólogo na escuta especializada de crianças no âmbito da justiça, baseando-se na compreensão de que o psicólogo é mediador e facilitador da expressão verbal da criança ou adolescente vítima de violência. Optou-se pela pesquisa bibliográfica de caráter descritivo, cuja análise foi qualitativa, por proporcionar maior familiaridade com o problema

    QUANDO A ESCOLA VIRA O QUINTAL DE CASA: UM ESTUDO DOS JOGOS TRADICIONAIS E DA CULTURA LÚDICA DAS CRIANÇAS PANTANEIRAS

    The Escola Fazenda Santa Mônica (EFSM) is a bimonthly boarding school in Brazilian Pantanal. The aim of this study is to analyze the traditional games of the children of the EFSM in light of the debate on the playful culture. Therefore, a case study was carried out with a field diary to collect data and provide content analysis to organize, categorize, and analyze these data. Traditional games have been known for a long time (by children and the elderly), in a sociocultural context and have survived over time through intergenerational dissemination (imitation, instruction or collaboration). At EFSM, some of these games, when experienced, maintain their main structure (theme), rules and objectives (form), but others go through adaptations, since resignification is recurrent in children's playful culture. To think about the traditional games of the Pantanal children is to highlight their playful power to transform the institutional space of EFSM in a unique place, where it is possible to express their individualities, socialize, build knowledge and reframe their playful culture.La Escola Fazenda Santa Mônica (EFSM) es un internado bimensual en el Pantanal brasileño. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los juegos tradicionales de los niños de la EFSM a la luz del debate sobre la cultura lúdica. Por ello, se llevó a cabo un estudio de caso con un diario de campo para recolectar datos y brindar análisis de contenido para organizar, categorizar y analizar estos datos. Los juegos tradicionales son conocidos desde hace mucho tiempo (por niños y ancianos), en un contexto sociocultural y han sobrevivido en el tiempo a través de la difusión intergeneracional (imitación, instrucción o colaboración). En EFSM, algunos de estos juegos, cuando se experimentan, mantienen su estructura principal (tema), reglas y objetivos (forma), pero otros pasan por adaptaciones, ya que la resignificación es recurrente en la cultura lúdica infantil. Pensar en los juegos tradicionales de los niños del Pantanal es resaltar su poder lúdico para transformar el espacio institucional de EFSM en un lugar único, donde es posible expresar sus individualidades, socializar, construir conocimientos y resignificar su cultura lúdica.A Escola Fazenda Santa Mônica (EFSM) é um internato bimestral no Pantanal Sul-mato-grossense. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os jogos tradicionais das crianças da EFSM à luz do debate da cultura lúdica. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo de caso dispondo de diário de campo para coletar dados e da análise de conteúdo para organizar, categorizar, analisar esses dados. Os jogos tradicionais são conhecidos desde sempre (por crianças e velhos), num contexto sociocultural e sobrevivem ao tempo pela disseminação intergeracional (imitação, instrução ou colaboração). Na EFSM alguns desses jogos, quando vivenciados, mantém sua estrutura principal (tema), regras e objetivos (forma), porém outros passam por adaptações, pois a ressignificação é recorrente na cultura lúdica infantil. Pensar nos jogos tradicionais das crianças pantaneiras é realçar sua potência lúdica para transformar o espaço institucional da EFSM num lugar único, aonde é possível expressar suas individualidades, socializar, construir conhecimentos e ressignificar sua cultura lúdica

    The present study constitutes a survey of research in the Scopus database, in which its purpose is a bibliometric analysis to investigate the relevance of the problem-issue that arises about the development of Digital Literacy in teaching practice in the construction of students' High school. Its main objective is to provide inputs to legitimize the proposal and carry out a survey of the theoretical framework to support the research of the Master's dissertation. Thus, the use of quantitative methods will help to search for considerations about what are the current challenges regarding digital literacy in the face of scientific production.El presente estudio constituye una encuesta de investigación en la base de datos Scopus, en la cual tiene como propósito un análisis bibliométrico para indagar en la relevancia del problema-tema que surge sobre el desarrollo de la Alfabetización Digital en la práctica docente en la construcción del Bachillerato. Su principal objetivo es brindar insumos para legitimar la propuesta y realizar un levantamiento del marco teórico para sustentar la investigación de la tesis de maestría.     Agriculture is the backbone of Ethiopia country economic development strategy and the main source of livelihood in terms of employment, generating foreign currency and raw materials for industries. Farmer Training Centers (FTCs) was established as a means to develop human resource and enhance innovation needed to transform the sector to productive and market oriented system. The main purpose of this study was to analyze the relevance and effectiveness of FTCs in Gurawa woreda in terms of changes in knowledge, attitude and practical levels, and explore institutional linkages with of the FTCs. This study used cross-sectional survey method to obtain the necessary data in 2018/19 production season. The data was obtained from 120 (60 trained and 60 untrained) randomly selected respondents from 4 kebeles using probability proportion to size sampling method. In addition, KII, FGD, and review of available record at FTCs were used for data collection. Relevance of FTCs were obtained based on the identifications of farmers’ needs and constraints, content of training, training delivery methods, selection criteria of trainees and appropriateness of period, duration and schedules of trainings were vary among the sampled in the area. Effectiveness of FTCs were identified based on the obtained result of knowledge, attitude and practical assessment of trained and untrained farmers, their mean difference of trained farmers towards the given technologies and commodities were significantly higher than untrained farmers at 1%, 1%, and 5% (p=0.01,0.01 and 0.05) of probability level respectively. According to the linkage mechanisms, the public, private and NGOs was identified as a key actors for institutional linkages which are weak in the functioning of FTCs based training
