Discovery Learning and High-Level Thinking Skills in Student Explanatory Text Writing
This study aims to describe the role of students' high-level thinking skills through the Discovery Learning learning model in improving explanatory text writing skills. Explanatory texts, which serve to explain phenomena logically and systematically, contribute to the development of students' critical and analytical mindsets. Through the Discovery Learning approach, students are directed to find cause-and-effect relationships independently, thereby increasing their cognitive involvement in understanding and writing explanatory texts. The study also highlights the importance of explicit learning strategies such as scaffolding, the use of text models, and reflective exercises to support writing skills. However, there are various challenges such as limited ability to organize ideas, lack of understanding of academic language, and low intrinsic motivation of students. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model has proven to be effective in improving skills in explanatory text writing because it encourages students to discover important concepts on their own through the process of active exploration. This study recommends the consistent integration of explanatory text-based approaches and Discovery Learning in educational practices to comprehensively improve students' academic literacy

This article reveals how the process of modern education management is practically implemented in the world of Islamic boarding schools, especially at the Walisongo Islamic Boarding School, Sragen, Central Java. This management is key to the ongoing development and adaption of Islamic boarding school education to the times. The ongoing Society 5.0 era requires Islamic boarding schools to adapt to management methods with new methods, not with old patterns. This requires Islamic boarding school education to be able to adapt in order to produce competent graduates. By using qualitative research methods which focus on field studies, this study examines how the phenomena of Islamic boarding school education must adapt to the framework of society 5.0 which requires a new breakthrough framework in the world of education. They must be able to innovate, be creative and always think forward to produce a good generation. Society 5.0 requires education to be entrenched in a futuristic framework. This means that the patterns that must be developed by educational institutions invite students to be able to adapt to their environment and merge with their society. Not using old patterns that are traditional in nature that are isolated from their society. Therefore, there must be good management in managing an institution as large as an Islamic boarding school. The management carried out must encompass four important aspects, namely planning, organizing, actuating , and evaluating, no longer just focusing on one direction and policy that is not in accordance with the vision and mission of renewal and development of reasoning. This is done by PP Walisongo so that the students can follow the development of the time
Impact of Multidisciplinary Project Based Learning on Teacher Collaboration Skill
The digital era requires students to be able to improve their 21st century abilities. One approach that can be used is project-based learning. This ability improvement must also be supported by all teachers so that there is a need for teacher collaboration in carrying out project-based learning. This form of collaboration can be done by integrating each subject in accordance with the project theme to not only provide knowledge but also the mentoring process from the planning stage to the assessment at the project exhibition. To realize this, it is necessary to implement multidisciplinary project-based learning. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the application of multidisciplinary project-based learning on improving teachers' collaboration skills. This study uses a qualitative research method with 6 respondents of teachers who teach grades 7 and 8 at the School of Human Junior High School. The data collection used is by observation both before and after the implementation of multidisciplinary project-based learning. The results of the observation are then reflected qualitatively with the indicators of collaboration skills observed following Greenstein's (2012) theory, namely (1) actively participating; (2) work productively; (3) be re-sponsible; (4) flexibility and compromise; (5) mutual respect between group members. The results of this study show that there is an improvement in teachers' collaboration skills after the implementation of multidisciplinary project-based learning. 4 out of 5 indicators are categorized as very good and 1 indicator is categorized as good. Significant changes are found in the attitude of responsibility of each member towards the projects implemented
Representation of Female Sexuality in the Context of Romantic Relationships on @18FESSS Social Media Accounts on X Platform (Twitter)
This study aims to identify and analyze the representation of female sexuality in the context of romantic relationships through posts by the @18FESSS account on the X platform. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach and Krippendorff's content analysis method to analyze 29 purposively selected tweets relevant to the topic, which are then coded into 10 thematic categories. The results of the analysis show two dominant categories, namely positive categories towards sexuality and personal sexual experiences, which represent female sexuality that is more open, reflective, and autonomous. This study found a shift in social norms that are more accepting of female sexual freedom. The inter-coder reliability test using Krippendorff's Alpha produced a value of 0.713, indicating acceptable reliability for exploratory research. The results of this study show that the @18FESSS menfess account, which acts as an anonymous digital space, has important potential as a medium for expressing female sexuality that often is out of place in public discourse. This study recommends expanding the amount of data and research time, adopting a qualitative approach, and incorporating interviews or surveys to strengthen the findings and explore the dynamics of narratives that emerge in the digital space
Challenges and Strategies of Implementing Nurses’ Professional Identity in Disaster Management in Indonesia: A Literature Review
Indonesia’s status as one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries presents unique demands on nurses, whose roles extend beyond clinical care to include leadership, coordination, and rapid decision-making during emergencies. However, the implementation of nurses’ professional identity in disaster management remains underexplored and faces considerable challenges within the Indonesian context. This literature review aims to identify the key challenges and explore context-specific strategies for strengthening the professional identity of nurses involved in disaster management in Indonesia. A systematic literature review was conducted using five databases PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and Garuda guided by PRISMA protocols. Inclusion criteria focused on studies from 2013 to 2023 addressing professional identity in nursing within disaster contexts. Twenty eligible articles were appraised using the CASP checklist and AMSTAR 2 tool. Thematic analysis was applied to synthesize findings. Five major thematic challenges were identified: (1) lack of disaster-focused education and training, (2) role conflict between personal and professional obligations, (3) limited organizational and logistical resources, (4) cultural barriers including gender norms and community perceptions, and (5) unclear or insufficient policies regarding nurses' roles in emergencies. Promising strategies include simulation-based curricula, psychosocial support systems, participatory policy development, interprofessional collaboration, and culturally sensitive educational interventions. Strengthening nurses’ professional identity in Indonesia’s disaster management requires an integrated, multisectoral approach involving education reform, policy innovation, resource provision, and sociocultural adaptation. These efforts are essential for empowering nurses to perform confidently, ethically, and effectively in high-risk setting
Moral Construction of the Message Transformation Process in the Scene from the Film 'Budi Pekerti'
In today's era, the dissemination of information often experiences distortion due to external factors or interpretations from social media. This study aims to explain the development of information dissemination values using the film “Budi Pekerti.” Through the lens of social construction theory proposed by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann, this method identifies three forms of reality: externalization, objectification, and internalization. This study falls under qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The film illustrates how moral values are socially constructed and perceived in the current media context, particularly social media. This highlights the implications of moral relativism, where moral beliefs are seen as relative to individual or social perspectives. The narrative follows the character of Mrs. Prani, a Guidance Counselor, whose actions and public reactions highlight the complexity of moral judgment in the digital age. The study reveals that the lack of moral awareness in message transformation is exacerbated by a lack of mutual respect and honesty, leading to negative consequences for those involved. Ultimately, the film serves as a medium to convey important moral messages and critique the role of media in shaping public perception and moral standards
The Model of Simultaneous General Elections in Order To Realize Democratic Elections: Analytical Study of The Decision of The Constitutional Court No. 55/PUU-XVII/2019
This research aims to analyse the implementation of the 2019 simultaneous general elections (elections), which actually caused various problems in practice. Responding to these dynamics, the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem) submitted a judicial review of the Election Law to the Constitutional Court, which then resulted in Constitutional Court Decision Number 55/PUU-XVII/2019 . This research is based on two main questions. First, how is the simultaneous general election model as stated in the Constitutional Court Decision Number 55/PUU-XVII/2019 analysed in terms of the basic principles of democratic elections? Second, how is the ideal simultaneous general election model after the Constitutional Court Decision Number 55/PUU-XVII/2019 In answering these questions, this research is supported by normative legal research methods (doctrinal) with three approaches, namely the legislative approach, conceptual approach, and historical approach analysed prescriptively analytically. Based on the results of the research and analysis conducted, the following conclusions were drawn: First, with the birth of Constitutional Court Decision No. 55/PUU-XVII/2019 6 variants of the simultaneous election model. In the analysis used, the constitutional judges used historical interpretation and functional interpretation methods in deciding the constitutional simultaneous election model. Second, Constitutional Court Decision Number 55/PUU-XVII/2019 affirms the significance of Constitutional Court Decision Number 14/PUU-XI/2013 in the context of simultaneous general election arrangements. The idea of holding elections with five ballot boxes is actually not the only model that has developed in the discourse on amending the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The Constitutional Court has explicitly formulated six alternative models of simultaneous elections that are considered to remain in line with constitutional principles. Among these alternatives, the fourth model is considered the most ideal to be implemented in the future simultaneous election system, given its conformity with the principles of effectiveness, efficiency and accountability in organising democratic elections
Content Analysis of Flood Reporting in Online Media in Bandar Lampung February-May 2024 Period
The role of online media in shaping public perception is highly significant, as media platforms serve as the primary source for information production and news dissemination. In the context of disasters, this role becomes even more critical and is closely tied to the field of disaster journalism. Understanding the direction and framing of news coverage allows us to analyze how particular issues or events are presented to the public and how such portrayals may influence public opinion and behavior. This study employs a content analysis method within a disaster journalism framework to examine media tendencies in reporting on the flood disaster in Bandar Lampung City. The findings indicate that all three analyzed media outlets made efforts to fulfill their social responsibility by delivering essential information to the public. However, to enhance their role in disaster communication, the media are encouraged to take a more proactive stance—by engaging expert sources, amplifying the voices of affected communities, and offering long-term, solution-oriented perspectives. Such improvements would help ensure that media coverage not only informs but also supports more effective public understanding and response to disasters
