This decision has been made for fullscholarship students due to their potential role in rebuilding Gazain the future. The government has outlined plans to support the departurefrom Gaza of a group of Chevening scholars, so they can takeup university places in the UK in the autumn for the 2025 to 2026academic year.We are extending this support to students in Gaza with fullscholarships, meaning students who have their course fees andliving costs fully funded by an official financial sponsor, asspecified in the Immigration Rules.Student eligibilityTo be eligible to come to the UK under this approach, studentsmust submit a Student visa application, which will need to besponsored by their university, and pay associated fees.Students must:be aged 18 or overmeet the requirements of the Immigration Ruleshave an offer for a course starting no later than 31 December2025be supported by a fully-funded and verified scholarship thatcovers both:course feesliving costsSecurity checksRobust security checks will be undertaken on all individuals whoenter the UK through this process. Biometrics will be collectedas part of the visa application process and prior to the finaldecision on granting entry to the UK as a student.Next stepsThe government is doing everything it can to support thisprocess.
