    Exploring HOTS on global warming concepts, self-efficacy and learning motivation among high school students

    This study aims to explore Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in relation to global warming materials, self-efficacy, and learning motivation among high school students. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method, involving 268 students (119 males and 149 females) from three high schools in West Java, Indonesia. The instruments used in this study included two-tier multiple-choice questions to measure higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), the Physics Learning Self-Efficacy (PLSE) scale to assess self-efficacy, and a Likert scale questionnaire to evaluate learning motivation. Findings revealed that students excelled in analyzing and evaluating tasks but struggled with tasks involving creation. Self-efficacy was moderate, with students showing confidence in their theoretical knowledge but less so in applying it to real-world situations. Learning motivation was generally high, particularly in terms of resilience and achievement, though persistence and engagement required improvement. However, the regression analysis indicated no significant relationship between self-efficacy and HOTS or between learning motivation and HOTS, reflecting that self-efficacy and learning motivation alone do not directly predict students\u27 performance in HOTS. These results emphasize the need for educational strategies that promote HOTS, enhance self-efficacy, and sustain learning motivation to equip students for increasingly complex global challenges

    This study aims to analyze the population density in Limau Manis Village, Medan Sinembah Village, and Ujung Serdang Village in Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, using a qualitative approach. The research problem is to understand the factors influencing the distribution of population density in these three villages. The methods used include primary data collection through surveys and interviews with village officials and local communities, as well as secondary data collection from planning documents and village maps. Data analysis was performed using thematic analysis techniques and spatial data integration using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results show that Limau Manis Village has the highest population (23,083 people) due to good accessibility, adequate public facilities, and greater economic opportunities. Medan Sinembah Village has a population of 9,242 people, with density variations influenced by access to natural resources and infrastructure. Ujung Serdang Village has the lowest population (5,086 people) due to challenging geographical conditions and limited public facilities. The recommendation of this study is to improve infrastructure and public facilities in low-density villages to enhance the quality of life and balance the population distribution

    Salah satu hal yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki siswa dalam proses pembelajaran adalah motivasi belajar, khususnya pembelajaran sains. Satu dari banyak cara meningkatkan motivasi belajar ialah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yang inovatif seperti model pembelajaran inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang akan mengkaji terkait penerapan model inkuiri dalam pembelajaran sains, dan dianalisis bagaimana motivasi belajar siswa dengan belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri tersebut pada artikel-artikel penelitian terdahulu yang berjumlah 40 artikel yang didapatkan dari situs Google Scholar dan juga berbantuan software Publish or Perish. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur diketahui bahwa motivasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri di kelas mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, kenaikan ini secara konsisten terlihat, menunjukkan bahwa model inkuiri efektif terhadap upaya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa khususnya pada pelajaran sains atau ilmu pengetahuan alam

    Kurikulum pendidikan nasional mengharuskan guru untuk melaksanakan penilaian secara menyeluruh pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap, dan psikomotorik. Namun, pada praktiknya, penilaian sikap sering diabaikan karena dianggap sulit diukur secara objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian sikap demokratis peserta didik yang valid dan reliabel. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D), dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan, dengan sampel acak sebanyak 200 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring menggunakan Google Form dan dianalisis dengan program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 22. Uji validitas dengan korelasi Product Moment menghasilkan 24 butir instrumen yang valid (rhitung > rtabel). Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach menunjukkan nilai 0,96 yang tergolong sangat tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas pengukuran yang kuat. Instrumen ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu guru untuk mengevaluasi dan menumbuhkan sikap demokratis di lingkungan sekolah secara lebih terukur dan sistematis

    Rice plays a crucial role for the Indonesian people as their primary source of energy and carbohydrates. A decline in rice production can impact food availability. Rice, as the main food crop, and its processed products, are crucial in fulfilling more than 70% of the daily food needs for the Indonesian population. One of the methods that can be used to conduct Clustering analysis on rice productivity and rice in three major provinces of Java Island is by using K-Means algorithm. While the tools used in this research is Python. The evaluation result of Sum of Squared Error (SSE) is 3.4452012710511966, Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) 0.5811451032787581, Silhouette Coefficient Index (SCI) 0.5581692872789441. The use of the K-Means method with Python successfully grouped rice productivity data into three clusters namely high, medium and low. By using fit_predict from the sklearn library, the rice productivity data in the regions of the three major provinces in Java Island were successfully grouped well and gained deep insights and were influenced by various factors such as cultivation techniques, soil quality, and climatic conditions.Bagi masyarakat Indonesia, padi memegang peranan penting sebagai sumber energi dan makanan pokok. Jika produksi beras mengalami penurunan, hal ini dapat berpengaruh terhadap ketersediaan bahan pangan. Padi, sebagai tanaman pangan utama, dan hasil olahannya, sangat penting dalam memenuhi lebih dari 70% kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari bagi penduduk Indonesia. Metode yang dapat digunakan dalam melakukan analisis Clustering pada produktivitas padi dan beras di tiga provinsi besar Pulau Jawa adalah dengan menggunakan algoritma K-Means. Sedangkan tools yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Python. Hasil evaluasi dari Sum of Squared-Error (SSE) yaitu 3.4452012710511966, Davies-Bouldin-Index (DBI) 0.5811451032787581, Silhouette-Coefficient Index (SCI) 0.5581692872789441. Penggunaan metode K-Means dengan Python berhasil mengelompokkan data produktivitas padi ke 3 cluster yaitu tinggi, sedang dan rendah.     Pentingnya peranan fisika dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21 berbanding terbalik dengan rendahnya hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Pada materi vektor, keseluruhan 30 peserta didik di kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN Taruna Nala Malang memiliki hasil belajar kognitif rendah yang disebabkan oleh persepsi bahwa materi vektor kurang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan strategi pembelajaran yang kurang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi vektor dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran discovery learning dan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mode penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang melibatkan guru praktik, guru pamong, dan dosen pendamping lapangan. Subjek penelitian merupakan peserta didik di kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN Taruna Nala Malang tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pemeberian perlakuan berlangsung selama 2 siklus pembelajaran atau empat pertemuan dan menunjukkan hasil yang positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi vektor

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran masyarakat Baduy luar dalam pelestarian nilai adat dan budaya di tengah modernisasi, Suku Baduy merupakan masyarakat adat yang berada di Kabupaten Lebak-Banten dan menjadi sebuah kebanggaan Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi deskriptif-eksploratif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Kanekes, Kecamatan Leuwidamar, Lebak-Banten. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa modernisasi yang masuk kedalam suku Baduy telah berpengaruh pada bergesernya nilai-nilai kebudayaan, perubahan ini terlihat pada perilaku dalam menjalankan aktivitas keseharian masyarakat Baduy seperti mengenal teknologi, cara berpakaian, penggunaan peralatan makan, serta pola interaksi dengan wisatawan. Menyikapi hal tersebut masyarakat berupaya menjalankan perannya sebagai masyarakat adat untuk melestarikan nilai dan budaya adat. Lembaga adat juga berperan penting dalam mempertahankan adat dan budaya, seperti melakukan pemeriksaan secara periodik yang jika ditemukan pelanggaran akan diberikan sanksi adat. Rekomendasi penelitian ini yaitu adat dan budaya pada suku Baduy perlu dilestarikan Kembali sesuai dengan kebijakan pemerintah yang memberikan perlindungan hukum dalam menjaga kelestarian kearifan lokal yang ada di dalam Masyarakat Adat

    Effectiveness of realistic mathematics worksheets with balinese cultural content on fourth-grade students\u27 learning outcomes

    This study examines the effect of Balinese culture-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on fourth-grade students’ mathematics learning outcomes. Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, 30 students from SD Negeri 1 Kemenuh participated in the study. The LKPD was designed by integrating mathematical concepts with Balinese cultural contexts, such as traditional dances and architecture, to make learning more engaging and relevant. Data were collected through pretests and posttests. The results showed a significant improvement in posttest scores (t = 18.49, p < 0.05), indicating that cultural integration helps students understand mathematical concepts more concretely and boosts learning motivation. The findings suggest that culture-based LKPD can be an effective tool in elementary mathematics instruction. However, effective implementation requires the active role of teachers in connecting mathematical concepts with the local cultural environment of the students &nbsp

    Development of augmented reality-based interactive space media for 5th grade elementary school students

    This research is motivated by the lack of interactive learning media in schools. The study aims to determine the feasibility of Augmented Reality-based interactive space building media using the Assemblr EDU application for 5th grade elementary students. This development research applies the ADDIE model with data collected through observation, interviews, documents, and questionnaires. The research subjects involved 14 students from SDN Sukun 1 Malang. The study focuses on the feasibility aspect based on expert validation. The results show that media experts gave a feasibility percentage of 98% in the "Very Feasible" category, while material experts gave 75% in the "Feasible" category. These results indicate that the Augmented Reality-based interactive media is appropriate for use in elementary school learning, meeting feasibility standards and offering potential to support engaging and effective learning experiences for students

    Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Digital Berbasis Web Pada Materi Mitigasi Bencana Alam

    Based on needs analysis, as many as 75% of students have difficulty understanding the material presented by the teacher. Disaster mitigation learning in class still uses printed teaching materials which do not help students\u27 understanding. The use of printed teaching materials and boring learning does not fully support the learning process. The aim of this research is to produce website-based digital teaching materials using identification of website addresses with the domain classgeografi.com and to test the suitability of teaching materials for the learning process. The research method uses the ADDIE model with five development stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Data collection was carried out based on the results of validation carried out by material and media validators and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Feasibility test of digital teaching materials by material validators (83%) and media validators (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". In the trial conducted at SMAN 1 Gondanglegi, the student user response was (96%) and the teacher user response was (96%) with the feasibility category "Very Feasible". Based on the results of this assessment, website-based digital teaching materials are suitable for use in the learning process
