departmental bulletin pape

    Get PDF
pdfIn this paper, to understand the academic achievement of Mejiro University’s Department of Korean Language and concretize its academic goals, we demonstrated the academic achievement through the first-year curriculum and academic activities and examined the efforts to enhance the academic achievement of the first-year students. We also examined how the academic outcomes of the first year influenced the academic activities of the second year. First, we found that the curriculum and academic activities in the first year are effective in achieving the academic goals. Specifically, it is clarified that academic achievement was improved by setting a GPA of 3.0 or higher and the acquisition of TOPIK level 3 or higher as the goals of the first-year academic activities, In addition, it was revealed that taking “Korean Affairs”, a preparatory course for studying abroad offered to first-year students, contributed to the improvement of second-year students’ academic achievement by facilitating their academic activities in the second year.departmental bulletin pape

pdfThis thesis presents the “musical instruments,” “dance articles,” and “game sets” from the Shosoin treasures, and by comparing these with Man’yoshu, this thesis aims to obtain clues for considering the characteristics of Man’yoshu. First of all, among the 23 types of musical instruments remaining in Shosoin, “wagon” is the most numerous and also appears frequently in literature; this is thought to be because this instrument was highly versatile in terms of its shape and uses. Next, “dance articles” include music and dance costumes and "gigaku" masks. Ink inscriptions on the masks provide material for considering the spread of ancient “GEINO” in conjunction with the regionality of Man’yoshu poems. “Game sets” such as “sugoroku” and “go”, along with written records, provide evidence of the pastimes of aristocrats in the Tempyo period. Finally, this thesis points out that the differences between the Shosoin treasures and the Man’yoshu.departmental bulletin pape
