Speranza, an Italian-French rapper, in recent years has made a name for himself within the newItalian dialectal rap scene. His music portrays life in the Campania province of Caserta with a style that is reminiscent of gangsta rap reworked to be both ironic and irreverent. This article analyzes a corpus of six songs released by the campanian artist on YouTube between 2017 and 2019. The description of a harsh reality, implemented through a particular verbal violence, is the main feature of his rap music, interesting both on a textual and musical level

Chanter les poètes avec (ou sans) les maths

Starting from a personal experience in turning texts by poets into songs, I will show how mathematics might shed some new light on our understanding of the relation between poetry and music. After recalling the conflictual relations between poetry and chanson, I will focus on a geometric representation of the harmonic space – the Tonnetz – that enabled me to propose an original perspective on poetic song writing through the concept of ‘Hamiltonian song’. Two musical examples will illustrate the flexibility of this formal approach in poetry-based song writing

Weiheamt und Typologie. Zur geschichtlichen Dynamik symbolischer Repräsentation

Dass die katholische Kirche nur Männer zum kirchlichen Weiheamt zulässt, hängt auch mit dessen typologischem Verständnis zusammen: Nur ein Mann könne den Mann Jesus von Nazareth repräsentieren, in dem das göttliche Wort Mensch geworden sei. Insofern kann das Weiheamt als Institutionalisierung einer Typologie und diese wiederum als Sonderfall einer Symbolik aufgefasst werden. Dabei vollziehen sich Prozesse der Symbolisierung und Institutionalisierung nicht gleichsam naturwüchsig; sie sind vielmehr das je vorläufige Resultat komplexer Aushandlungsprozesse. Während kirchlicherseits gegenwärtig ein allgemeiner Verlust des Symbolverständnisses beklagt wird, macht der französische Sozialphilosoph Cornelius Castoriadis darauf aufmerksam, dass Symbolisierungen zum Fundament des Humanen zählen. Ihre Tendenz zur Verstetigung in sozialen Institutionen lässt den Soziologen Karl-Siegbert Rehberg diese als symbolische Ordnungen beschreiben, die immer auch Macht ausüben. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird das typologische Verständnis des kirchlichen Weiheamtes erläutert und seine geschichtliche Dynamik aufgedeckt.The fact that the Catholic Church only admits men to ecclesiastical ordination is, inter alia, connected with its typological understanding of ordination: only a man can represent the man Jesus of Nazareth, in whom the divine Word became flesh. In this respect, we can conceive of the ordained ministry as the institutionalization of a typology. Typology, in turn, is a special form of symbolism. However, processes of symbolization and institutionalization do not occur by nature; they are rather the provisional results of complex negotiation processes. While the Church is currently deploring the general loss of an understanding of symbols, the French social philosopher Cornelius Castoriadis points out that symbolization is an integral part of human life. The sociologist Karl-Siegbert Rehberg describes institutionalization being the establishment of a symbolic order that always exercises power. Against this background, this paper expounds the typological understanding of ecclesiastical ordination and underlines its historical dynamics
