    The Relationship Between Perceived Job Difficulty and Judgments of Deserved Pay

    本研究では、職業困難度(job difficulty)の知覚と相応しい給与額(deserved pay)の判断の関連性を探索的に検討した。オンライン調査をおこない、介護職や バス運転手などの低賃金が問題とされるエッセンシャルワーカーを加えた6 つの職 業に対して、就業や実務の困難さや、(1)身体的スキル・技術、(2)感情コントロール・ ストレスへの対処、(3)知識・知能、(4)資格、(5)実務をおこなう前の研修の5 側面での難しさのイメージを測定した。また、それぞれの職業の賃金として予測さ れる給与額や、実際の年間給与額が妥当であるかと思うかについても訊ねた。104 名の回答結果から、ほとんどの職業で、より困難な職業ほど高い給与が相応しいと 判断される傾向が見られた。本研究の結果から、職業困難度に対する人々の認識 が労働環境の改善や賃金引き上げを促進する可能性が示唆された。In this study, we aimed to explore the relationship between the perception of job difficulty and the judgment of deserved pay. An online survey was conducted, measuring perceptions of job difficulty in six occupations, including low-wage essential workers such as caregivers and bus drivers. We measured various aspects of job difficulty, including physical skills, emotional control, knowledge, qualifications, and pre-employment training. Participants also provided estimates of appropriate salaries and evaluations of the fairness of actual annual wages. Results from 104 respondents showed a general tendency to associate higher job difficulty with the belief that a job deserves higher pay. These findings suggest that public perceptions of job difficulty could influence efforts to improve working conditions and raise wages.departmental bulletin pape

    本稿では明治期の神奈川県県西地方を対象に、中等教育を目的とした学校の開設・誘致や維持・運営の行動について、事業家・企業・財界の関わりに着目しながら考察した。神奈川県第二中学校の開設までの苦闘の裏には、地域に教育を根付かせ、有為な人材を地域から輩出しようとする実業人の存在と尽力があった。このことは、実業界に身を置く者たちの下支えの活動や協力が、地域に教育を根付かせる上で大きな意味を持ったことを示唆する。This article discusses actions and trial for foundation, attraction, and management of secondary school in the Meiji period at Western Part of Kanagawa Prefecture, focusing the Contribution of Enterprising Person, Company, and Business World. The Second Prefectural Secondary School of Kanagawa has the prehistory of struggle. And, at such period, some business persons made every effort for the regional deep-rooted education and human resources production. The fact discovery of this article suggests the importance of support and cooperation by enterprising persons, companies, and Business World for regional deep-rooted education.departmental bulletin pape

    ベトナム語の語彙分析及び漢字表示方法

    This paper presents a new sinographic writing method for the Vietnamese language, utilizing Chinese characters to represent both Sino-Vietnamese words and purely Vietnamese terms sourced from the Tam Thien Tu dictionary. Through a comprehensive linguistic analysis, it is found that nearly 90% of the Vietnamese language can be written using Chinese characters, thus emphasizing the historical and cultural connections between Vietnamese and Chinese. Our method introduces a diacritical marking system that differentiates between Sino-Vietnamese and purely Vietnamese readings, eliminating ambiguity and facilitating language learning. This innovative approach not only enriches the understanding of Vietnamese linguistic heritage but also offers valuable educational resources for both Vietnamese learners and speakers of other sinographic languages. The implications for technology integration and cross-cultural communication are deemed significant, paving the way for a deeper appreciation of the intertwined histories of the Vietnamese language and Chinese characters.本論文では、漢字を用いてベトナム語を表記する新しい漢字表記法を提案する。この方法は、漢越語と「三千字典」に由来する純粋なベトナム語の両方を表現することを目的としている。包括的な言語分析を通じて、ベトナム語の約90%が漢字で表記できることが明らかになり、ベトナム語と中国語の歴史的および文化的なつながりが強調される。本方法は、漢越語と純粋なベトナム語の読み方を区別するための発音符を導入し、曖昧さを排除し、言語学習を促進する。この革新的なアプローチは、ベトナム語の言語遺産の理解を豊かにするだけでなく、ベトナム語の学習者や漢字文化圏の人々にとって教育資源を提供する。技術統合や異文化コミュニケーションへの影響は重要と考えられ、ベトナム語と漢字の絡み合った歴史への深い理解を促進する。departmental bulletin pape

    Training Pre-service Secondary School English Teachers in Relation to Primary Education: The Current Status and Challenges of Tama University’s Teacher Training Course

    本稿は、小学校との接続を意識した中高英語教員の養成の在り方について、多摩大学グローバルスタディーズ学部の教職課程の現状と課題を示すことを目的としている。第一に、外国につながりのある児童生徒が増加しているという小・中学校の現状を踏まえると、国際色豊かな本学部で学んだ卒業生について、教員として学校現場に出たあとに、異文化理解や多文化共生の指導での活躍が期待できる。第二に、本学部のカリキュラム上、主として小学校の英語教育について学ぶ科目は設置されておらず、小学校英語教育に関わる科目の設置等を検討したい。第三に、「英語を専門とする小学校教員」に興味をもつ学生が一定数見られ始めたことから、他大学との連携により、本学の教職課程で学びを深めながら小学校免許の取得を希望する意欲ある学生を支援するための仕組みを導入した。This paper aims to present the current status and issues of the teacher training course in School of Global Studies, Tama University, in terms of the training of secondary school English teachers in relation to primary schools. First, considering the current situation in primary and secondary education in Japan, where the number of children with foreign backgrounds is increasing, we expect our graduates who study at this university to be active in teaching intercultural understanding and multicultural coexistence after becoming in-service practitioners. Second, the school’s curriculum does not include courses that exclusively teach primary school English education; thus, we would consider establishing them. Third, as we see a number of students interested in becoming ‘primary school teachers specializing in English,’ we have introduced a system with another university to support motivated students who wish to obtain a primary school license while deepening their learning in our course.departmental bulletin pape
