ABSTRACTThis study aims to (1) determine the comparative magnitude of the feasibility of R / C Ratio farming from lowland rice farming to melon farming and (2) to know the factors that influence farmers' decisions in melon farming in Klotok Village, Plumpang District. This research was determined by purposive sampling in Klotok Village, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency using simple random sampling method. using 65 samples of farmers with the criteria of 30 lowland rice farmers and 35 melon farmers. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis and logit model analysis to find out the factors that influence farmers' decision to melon. Based on the results of this study indicate that significantly the factors that influence the decision of farmers in deciding melon farming are influenced by variables of age, land area, number of family members, and income, while the variables that have no effect are education, capital, farming experience and frequency of counseling.
