Dissertação de mestrado integrado em PsicologiaEste estudo visou explorar as contribuições da Grelha de Repertório na compreensão dos problemas de comportamento na adolescência, considerando a construção de significado pessoal ao nível do relacionamento interpessoal, nomeadamente com os pais, autoestima e autocontrolo. A amostra reuniu 231 sujeitos, com idades entre os 13 e 18 anos (M = 14.8), aos quais se administrou o Youth Self Report. Os 16 adolescentes com maior pontuação na escala de externalização e os 19 com menor cotação no somatório de problemas participaram na segunda fase do estudo, onde foi construída a Grelha de Repertório.
Os resultados revelaram que o grupo com problemas de comportamento manifesta uma construção pessoal edificada numa menor autoestima e autocontrolo, bem como uma menor identificação com a figura materna e outros elementos significativos da sua rede relacional.
Os resultados são discutidos em relação à investigação empírica neste domínio e às suas implicações clinicas.The main goal of this study was to analyse the diferences between two adolescent groups, with and without problem behaviors, in terms of their personal construction, using the Repertory Grid technique. It was administered the Youth Self Report questionnaire to a sample constituted by 231 ninth-grade students, aged 13-18 years (M = 14.8). The 16 participants with the highest scores on the externalization scale and the 19 with the lowest scores in the sum of all syndrome scales participated on the Repertory Grid interview. The results revealed that the group with problem behaviors showed a personal construction based on a lower self-esteem and self-control. Data of a poorer identification with maternal figure and with significant others were also perceived.
The results are discussed focusing on empirical research in this area and their clinical implications
