Informação internacional: esboçando linhas de fronteira

Abstract

Se a Informação Internacional, enquanto área de saber, está intimamente ligada ao campo mais amplo dos Estudos da Comunicação, ela não deve, na nossa opinião, afastar-se das Teorias das Relações Internacionais. Na leitura que fazemos desta disciplina, o campo da Comunicação assume-se como o seu local de nascimento e de desenvolvimento, mas consideramos que a Informação Internacional adquire uma maior legibilidade se lançar uma âncora segura às Relações Internacionais. Este artigo procura esboçar algumas dimensões das linhas de fronteira deste sub-campo, recorrendo ao profícuo corpo teórico das Relações Internacionais. Mais do que explicar ao leitor o que é hoje a Informação Internacional, este trabalho pretende percorrer a literatura convencional desta disciplina, articulando-a com o Debate Inter-Paradigmático das Relações Internacionais.International Information as a research area is closely linked to the broader field of Communication Studies. Indeed, this field might be perceived as the birth place of International Information as a discipline. However, we believe that International Relations perspectives can be highly relevant if one is to develop a deeper understanding of International Information today. This article intends to shed some light over the invisible frontiers of this sub-field, paying particular attention to the prolific International relations literature. It is not our purpose to tell readers what International Information is at present but to put forward dimensions of the conventional International Information literature in articulation with the International Relations Inter-paradigmatic debate.Si l'Information Internationale, comme champ de savoir, est étroitement liée au champ plus vaste des Études de la Communication, ela ne devra pas, à notre avis, s'éloigner des Théories de Rélations Internationales. Dans notre lecture de cette discipline, le champ de la Communication s'inscrit comme son lieu d'origine et de développement. D'autre part, l' Information Internationale conquérira plus de légibilité si elle s'ancre aux Rélations Internationales. Plus que expliquer au lecteur ce que l' Information Internationale est aujourd'hui, cet article prétend parcourir la littérature conventionnelle de cette discipline, en l'articulant avec de Débat Inter-Paradigmatique des Rélations Internationales
